He used to stack supermarket shelves but these days he packs out nightclubs playing the finest Trance available. He's now turned his attention to producing and will soon be releasing his debut artist album. As Gabrielle once said, dreams can come true...
I remember reading up on Jon years ago when he was very fresh on the scene having secure a residency at Godskitchen and its a real gritty story how a bedroom DJ and fan of Trance can break through to become a household name across the oceans. It kicked off for Jon when he won a DJ competition run by Passion and M8 magazine where his mix beat off 300 other aspiring DJ's. The residency at Godskitchen soon followed and it was not long before he started to appear in DJ magazines as one of the DJ's to keep an eye out for. They were right as right now he's getting bigger and bigger and plays to thousands of fans in packed clubs each week.
He is also singed to the Vandit label and good chums with a one Paul van Dyk who is definatelt one of Jon's biggest fan's. It%u2019s easy to see why as the Trance he has been playing over the years has been of the finest quality. It was only a matter of time before he started to have a dabble with producing his own tracks with his first release on Gareth Emery's FiveAM label called 'Escapade'. That track was a collaboration with Gareth and no doubt he picked up some useful tips of a guy who can produce a trance smash just playing around with his laptop for an hour. His first solo release was a record called 'Effectual' on Conspiracy Recordings. After a superb collaboration with the legendary Airwave and things just getting better and better.
His first release on the famous blue and white sleeves of Vandit has just been released titled 'Ways & Means' with Paul himself putting his productions talents on show with a cracking remix. In such a short period of time Jon has become what every aspiring DJ hopes for when mixing tracks together in their bedroom and with Vandit supporting him, its going to get better.
His first debut album is all brand new material that has not saw the light of day yet and only played out by Jon and those he sees fit to test his new tracks on a live audience. His productions are uplifting and pumping so you can expect some of that inside here. Ways & Means is an energetic peak time gem and has been hammered by a lot of the tops jocks like Armin and Paul van Dyk himself. His album should bring fresh, clean and uplifting trance with a few vocal offerings perfect to get you in the mood.
