After the success Microbe “Freezing” (played by Judge Jules 5 weeks in a row), comes another original underground Hard Trance track from the Redemption Label
In keeping with the cutting edge trance sound already established on Redemption, We received a promotional copy of the first release from their new signed 'Toxen'. Toxen are formed by Brian Hope formerly of Tocayo (with current releases on Ministry of Sound label 23:7) and a Colin Tevendale resident of The Tunnel, Glasglow.
On the record we have:
A1: Toxen - Gloria B1: Toxen - Nightmare Walkin
A1: Toxen - Gloria The pace of this track is slightly faster than that of a standard hard trance record. It has a very powerful sound to it and would soon take control over your body on the dance floor. This isn't exaclty a vocal track but features the sounds of someone whispering and what sounds like a choir boy singing in the breakdown. From the sound of the voice you think its a very calm and peacefull track. But once the short vocal finishes the sythns and beat soon kick in it turns out to be far from calm or peacefull. This is definately the type of record I would play somewhere near the peak of a set as theres loads of energy behind to help make the crowd go wild.
B1: Toxen - Nightmare Walkin Again, this is a very nice bouncy hard trance track with an accessible club friendly edge. The melody is quite distinctive and would surely be remembered in the mind of a clubber after a top night out while they were thinking " what the hell was that wicked track?" . Played by name such as Judge Jules and Jam X, this is definately one to check out! Theres something about this that will make it appeaking to all those Hard Trance fans out there.
Conclusion
I for one hope Redemption keep on releasing music as good as this. Their Productions will probably kill the faint hearted but will be loved and cherished by anyone such as myself who occasioanlly likes their Trance Hard!
