Not long after essential releases from Chris Hampshire and Thomas Datt on Discover comes another compilation to celebrate the 40th release on the label. It's the best so far of one of Dance music's most consistant labels mixed by John Askew...
The Discover label is part of the Recoverworld family and will celebrate its 40th release with this very special double disc compilation mixed by John Askew. It all started as Eve Records back in the mid nineties with a guy called Chris Hampshire making it tick. It has since developed into one of the leading independent dance music labels in the UK and is now know as Recoverworld with a family of seven labels pumping out quality music.
For me some of my favourite records from the past few years have been released on Discover with some of those featured in this compilation. It is a collection of the labels finest work to date with tunes from a few years back to today’s fresh new releases. John Askew's work as a producer has come on leaps and bounds over the years and his records and remixes have been played by many a top draw DJ. The Diicover label is home to the likes of Greg Downey, Thomas Datt, Tom Colontonio and John O’Callaghan who all seem to have a similar sound in there music and fit in with the labels fresh approach to dance music. Your safe in the knowledge that you will find no garbage in any of their releases just good quality dance music to play again and again.
This album follows on from Thomas Datt's 'Underground Anthems' and one of my favourite compilations at the moment 'Dark Sessions' by Chris Hampshire which are albums you really should get your hands on. This compilation is out on the 30th June but you can pre-order it right now at the Recoverworld shop for a shade under £6. Now that is just a bargain not to be missed.
