Check out these two storming trancers that Miikka Leinonen has delivered on Five AM Vibe...
:: Miikka Leinonen - Galactic Evolution / Ill Behaviour :: Five AM Vibe :: FAMV012
1) Galactic Evolution One which has been causing a stir for a while now, 'Galactic Evolution' carries a classic trance feel as it starts - luring you in with a gentle synth rhythm and sumptuous pads which tease and hint at the forthcoming melodies. A piano is used to bring on the melody during a breakdown. Clear, simple and beautiful, it works excellently with the surrounding sounds. The melody isn't forced either - it comes in ever stronger waves making the track one big crescendo of sounds and emotion. Even at over 8 and a half minutes, every time this track finishes, people are left gasping for more. A defining piece of melodic trance.
2) Ill Behaviour 'Ill Behaviour' is a much more cheeky, sassier work and this becomes immediately evident when the bassline kicks in. It is deep, dirty and carries a wickedly twisted and funky sound. Synth string pads pile on the atmosphere with a massive presence in the background and there's always a piano lurking, pushing out quietly apparent chords, adding to the fantastic flow achieved by this piece. The breakdown is a work of art - the merging of atmospheric fx, sweet piano notes and delicious pads into one massively uplifting build up is second to none. When the beat kicks back in, fuelled by the driving bass and the soaringly energetic string pads, the track reaches a whole new level. Melodies intertwine, rhythms lock together and you find yourself in an amazing place which you just won't want to leave. This is a contender for track of the year for me.
Conclusion:
10. 'Galactic Evolution' is good, very good. But 'Ill Behaviour' is just downright amazing.
