Thousands of people, one message: happiness. You experience it individually – and yet together. Isn't the spirit of the music we all love so much already here? Isn't that NATURE ONE? Isn't that the message hiding in "wake up in yellow"? After all, it's about tolerance and freedom, fun and summer, and about the passion for electronic music.
Who doesn't know the saying "When life hands you a lemon, make lemonade"? Well, we're going to make a honey-yellow lemonade! A bubbling mix of beats, melodies and feelings of happiness under the sun and blue skies. The fourteenth NATURE ONE is celebrating this passionate potpourri in yellow with a world premiere: Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, ATB and Ferry Corsten, the five greatest trance DJs in the world, will all be assembled at Pydna.
What's more, NATURE ONE is still sporting the yellow jersey of innovation, so with no less than the Belgians from "Reverze", fresh hard-style sounds will be blasting through the bunkers. And Chemnitz and Leipzig will be showing you with "Power from the East Side" just how they power-party in the states of Eastern Germany.
The sun – it shines yellow. The summer – it is yellow. Even the moon glows yellow over the golden cornfields of the rolling Hunsrück hills. And even if it were to pour down – so what? After all, wellington boots are usually yellow too.
Dream of NATURE ONE – wake up in yellow!
OPEN AIR FLOOR
All the planning, layout and calculations get going months in advance. Then it's all binned and we start from scratch again. It's not exactly easy to factor in all the criteria involved in designing the Open Air Floor. It needs to look highly distinctive, to create an experience, and to be different each year. The light, LED, laser and video technologies have to be merged into a symbiotic unity. Structures can be built up to ten metres high with aluminium, but after that only with steel. Don't forget the wind load, either! And what will the structural engineers say? Will the safety standards authority give their approval? It's got to be waterproof because you never know if it might rain. The all-important factor is the sound – full, powerful and at the same time as clear as a cold mountain stream. Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten – the best trance DJs in the world – will not accept anything less. But they know the Open Air Floor so they know their expectations will be fulfilled, and even surpassed.
OPEN AIR FLOOR DJs

THE CENTURY CIRCUS
Raise your arms and feel a barrage of pulsating rhythms burst over you. Experience how the needle vitalizes the vinyl, triggering a musical inferno which is greeted by thousands cheering euphorically. Unconditional surrender fuels these flames and soon they surge to a musical conflagration. This is where fiery techno meets highly inflammable elation head-on. Minimal, techno and hard techno send out showers of sparks kindling everyone's smouldering passions like dry wood. The incomparable sound of Century Circus will transform the circle into a melting pot, which crusaders like Carl Cox, innovators like Chris Liebing and rhythm wizards like Dave Clarke will feed with a multiplicity of styles. Are you ready for this euphonic wall of fire?
CENTURY CIRCUS DJs
Friday: Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Umek, Joris Vroom, Elmar Strathe, Alter Ego, Renato Cohen
Saturday: Sven Väth, Dave Clarke, Felix Kröcher, Sven Wittekind, DJ Murphy vs. Christian Fischer, Space DJ's, Brixton, Discordia, Johannes Heil, Arkus P., Jacek Sienkiewicz, Elton D & SNOO
THE HOUSE OF HOUSE
Family photo in the House of House presenting NatureOne 2008! The Disco Boys in patent-leather shoes, Dominik Eulberg in hiking boots, Milk & Sugar in chic outfits. Lützenkirchen bleary-eyed (he's been awake for 3 days) and Babor with his face as red as a beetroot (temperature running at 56 degrees). Somehow it doesn't make a visually homogeneous picture. How should it? There's hardly any style of music that combines so many tensions and contrasts as house music. It's relaxed yet exciting. Exuberantly expressive hymns are just as much a feature as minimalist, cool frickel tracks. House is the sound track for a hot date – and for a ruthlessly mind-blowing blast. And for a cigarette afterwards.
THE HOUSE OF HOUSE DJs
Friday: Dubfire, The Disco Boys, Lützenkirchen, Milk & Sugar, Sebastian Gnewkow, Malente
Saturday: Monika Kruse b2b Karotte, Dominik Eulberg, Gregor Tresher, Moritz Piske, Martin Heyder, Babor, Ante Perry, Gabriel Ananda, Einmusik
CLASSIC TERMINAL
It's as if you were entering a more or less bygone world. Back to the days when Westbam announced the rave community. "Peace, Love & Unity" we called out to ourselves in colourful pointed caps – and meant it totally seriously. Back to the days when Marusha talked about Raveland and Sven Väth warned us in the club night not always to ask for "Das Boot". Back to the days when the first delicate rave seedling started taking root and developed into a huge tree with dozens of boughs and branches all over the world. Back to the days when something awesome was created with Bonzai. A time in which Tom Wax proclaimed what our future is. It was the time which saw the genesis of electronic music. Back in those days it was a fantastic time – and it will never die. The hymns of yore will be catapulted into the 21st century here to pass on musical memories from one generation to the next. Today. A euphoric flashback allowing 20 years of music to entrance and dance around us.
CLASSIC TERMINAL DJs
Friday: CJ Bolland, Da Hool, Yves de Ruyter, DJ Toyax, Rob Acid
Saturday: Bassface Sascha, Dr. Motte, Tanith, Tillmann Uhrmacher, Tom Wax, Perplexer, Raoul, Mijk van Dijk
THE CLUBS
It's the clubs' anniversary – they've been coming to NATURE ONE for ten years now. Indispensable elements since 1998: Stammheim, Airport from Würzburg and the Saarland Party Posse around Cassius. Things got international in 2000 with "Energy" from Zurich. The largest party after the Street Parade, as everyone knows. Now original again – back in the indoor stadium. You've got to have fresh momentum too: Reverze, Belgium's largest "harder style" event will be appearing for the first time with a knockout line-up consisting of jump style, tekstyle and hard style. And the leaders of the techno league in Eastern Germany will be coming with "Power from the East Side" for the opening of their new Chemnitz/Leipzig offshoot in the Hunsrück. Thanks clubs for the parties we've had together over the last 10 years – and here's to the next ten!
