Farewell DeepBlue!!
As (teasingly!) trailed in the last news-mailer, it's been a month of BIG, BIG changes at the Solar HQ (which, Bond-like, we imagine to be perched on the side of a Swiss mountain or something!). Rich has now left DeepBlue Records - the label he co-founded with former partner Andy Bury - and has taken a stake in Solaris Recordings (yep, the same one Solarstone are signed to!). Rich has taken over the A&R reigns of Solaris and has already started signing trance & prog WMDs for release! If you're a producer and you're sat huddled over the next 'For An Angel' (for example!), you can send Solarstone over a link to it at: demos@solarstone.co.uk
Solaris International
With Rich departing DeepBlue, his radio show has been appropriately re-titled Solaris International (natch!). With the changeover has come a raft of new features as well as retaining all your old favourites. 'Three-In-A-Row', 'Its Not The Kind of Thing We Usually Play', 'Solarstone's Big Tune', 'Retro Moment' & 'The Guest Mix' are all still there, making the show kick. Last week, we had the winner of the 'MIGHTY RSE COMP', the lovely Gemma Lawrence on the show introducing 'Born Slippy' (and indeed the show's new feature, the 'Phone in Favourite'). Around this time of the year, DJs from every corner of the globe line themselves up for the ultimate of musical smack-downs! Solaris International Needs YOU!
What Rich wants more of on Solaris International now... IS YOU! So if you'd like to feature on the show, send a short MP3 where you tell your name, where you're from and the artist and title of the classic trance or prog moment you absolutely have to hear on Solaris! Spectrum Pts. 1 & 2, Inc. Remixes From Duderstadt & Santiago Nino
After selling out inside its first week of release, the 'RainStarsEternal' CD is back in stock this week. The next single to be taken from it will be the fantastic 'Spectrum'. Subtitled 'Pts 1+2', fans of the album version are in for a surprise! The single now features a stunning extension that expands it into an epic (and not a word we use lightly here!) 10 minute floor-monopolizer! Remixes come from Santiago Nino & Duderstadst (who's mix has already been popping out of Ferry Corsten's speaker-cones, worldwide, over the last month.
Solarstone To Play Full On Ferry.
Speaking of Mr Corsten, November 1st is a big date for your all-European Gig diary. Giving you plenty of advanced warning, so you can go grab those cheap(er) flights, Rich will be playing at the all-star Full-On Ferry Night at the legendary Ahoy in Rotterdam. According to advance publicity, he will performing in a Venetian Mask (it wasn't in the contract, but he's nothing but game!). Rich will be spinning alongside Ferry, Sander van Doorn & Eddie Halliwell amongst others. Tickets are available through the Paylogic system at fullonferry.com and at www.udc.nl. You can also order tickets via Ticketservice (www.ticketservice.nl) or purchase them locally at all Free Record Shop, Primera and Midtown locations in The Netherlands.

Yep, we've been talking about it for months, but now it's well and truly here! You can snap up a copy of the track that DJ Magazine called "the 'Seven Cities' touchstone" right now! It's available now on rare marble-white coloured vinyl (1000 only, very-rare) or Sunburst Orange (200 only, expletive-spoutingly-rare). Catch it today at a reasonable price or alternatively wait a couple of years, realise there is a size 10 hole missing in you record collection and then buy it a seizure-inducing, hyper-inflated price from some man called Reg, who works are the local record fair and has hair growing out of his ears.
