John Askew is a very important man in Dance music for me as his label has released some of the freshest sounding trance music over the past few years than lot of others. He has made unknown producers into household names (for most trance households at least) with his Discover label and various sub labels doing some very fresh and exciting things. It doesn’t seem that long ago since his debut artist album but it's been over two years since that release.

Since then he has released a few good club bangers like Chime, How Can I put This and The Advent of Us for which Pedro Delgardo did a fantastic remix for. He's been putting in some great club sets around the globe to boot and no doubt has a bigger following now than ever. It's with great anticipation then that he will be releasing his second artist album called 'Z List Uber Star' on the 6th October on Discover Records.

You won't have to wait until then though for a sneak peak of what to expect from the new album as John has just released one of the new singles to be featured on it. The new release is called 'Fade To Black' and is classic Askew with his trademark pumping sound and epic breaking melody that will get your attention like a harsh slap to the face. It's all rather tasty and you should be able to find the new single in most good record shops from Monday. I've not seen a tracklist for the new album but two other singles on there are Nothing Left Between Us and 'Z List Uber Star'. The name of the album is not one that slips off the tong but you can guarantee no matter how dodgy the name the track won’t be.

John has set up a web site for the new album and if you want to one of the first people to get hold of a copy pop over and submit your mailing address to be informed when pre-release copies become available.
