The pair of John 00 Fleming and Christopher Lawrence have signed a deal to produce a series of mix compilations to be released on US label Moist Records. Quite fitting as I'm sure anything involving those two induces a moist feeling...
John 00 Fleming is one of the most recognised stars in promoting the sound of Psy Trance with his style different from what I remember it a few years ago. Remember his 'White Label' compilations that showcased the best in unsigned and bootleg dance music that were released a few years ago under the 'Euphoria' banner? His music these days falls under the pumping psycadelic trance genre and he returned to the Euphoria brand with his Psy Trance compilation earlier this year.
Christopher Lawrence is another DJ who started off on the more traditional sound of Trance and moved onto the Psy path with his last few artist releases, one a collaboration with John, being the Psy style. I would possible say they crossover as you can see hints of the usual trance sounds in the records. Either way you describe the style and the music the end result is a joy to listen to. The good news then is the pair will be releasing a compilation together.
They have been in joint operation in the past few months with a few collaborative shows around the globe and only last month released a joint production by the name of 'Beyond The Limit' which went down very well with me and I'm sure a lot of other trance fans. The collaboration continues with US label 'Moist Records' signing the pair to releases a series of mix compilations to be called 'Global Trance Grooves (Two Tribes)'. The compilation will feature the finest long players currently played out by the pair and will bring the live show sound to your CD Player. There will be a 'Global Trance Grooves Tour' to follow the first album release in September so expect to see DJ dates popping up for that.
The first edition of 'Global Trance Grooves' will be out on the 9th September.
