One of the worlds biggest club brands is running a monster of a competition throughout October. They are searching for a bright new talented DJ & Producer to fill in a residency and have their productions released on their own compilations...
It's a Christmas present that the winner will never forget for the whole of next year with this massive new competition from the Ministry of Sound. They are one of the biggest brands worldwide with clubs and nights all over the place. They have a huge catalogue of compilation and single releases and over the years purchased some very well known club names. The current climate of financial doom and gloom does not seem to be effecting the dance music scene as its at its healthiest its been for a long time with the search for new talent being an ever growing trend.
Ministry of Sound are doing just that, searching for the next Paul van Dyk to push out the banging tunes in the forthcoming years. They are offering some very inviting incentives to find that talent with their DJ competition they like to call 'Next Generation'. This is not anything like a remix competition where they simply put your record on a release - far from it - they want you to work for them throughout 2009 as a resident for the Ministry of Sound at UK and International events.
That's not just the prize on offer as the winner of the competition will be spinning a New Years Day set at the world famous Ministry of Sound club with al the VIP treatment thrown in to boot. There is also DJ gear up for grabs, Ministry of Sound radio show slots, a track of the winner's released on a Ministry of Sound compilation and a year's supply of Vodka (Well, 24 bottles of the stuff anyway.).
The entry conditions for the competition are very simple. All you need to do is send a 30 minute mix, a track you produced and a short profile of yourself with an accompanying picture. Post all those off to:
‘Next Generation DJ Competition' 103 Gaunt Street, London SE1 6DP UK
You must be over 18 to enter and the submitted entries will be judged by Mark Knight, Steve Angelo, Danny Howells, Lee Mortimer and I'm sure a few others. The closing date to get your entry in is the 31st of October with the winners being announced at the beginning of December.
