Check out this trancey remix of one of Real Legacy Records' recent releases, Ser Mystik's 'Rockin' Your World'...
:: Der Mystik - Rockin' Your World :: Real Legacy Records :: RLR005
1) Rockin' Your World (Default State Remix) This track by Der Mystik, the Columbian producer who owns half of Real Legacy Records itself, came in a variety of forms: leftfield, chillout, techno and house, but it's this trance remix from Default State that has caught my ear.
The initial stages of the track are played down, calm and gently, with hints of a chord progression coming only from an offbeat bass and a super-soothing set of strings. It soon reveals it's true beauty though with the introduction of a wonderfully constructed piano melody. The notes are melancholic, and they wander and meander through a sea of echo. It is not a repeated melody, but a continuous flow. This is very welcome, and is extremely fitting for an instrument such as the piano.
The strings combine with the piano, which starts to hit some real deep and gutsy notes, during the breakdown and from here on, there is real emotion and feeling in the chord progressions. You don't notice this build up of emotion, it's very covert, but once it's there it's very easy to appreciate its greatness.
Conclusion:
Overall, a truly beautiful piece of music!
