One of the recent releases from the Monster fold of labels is a Pure release from Foundry, who's making their debut. Jorn van Deynhoven and Fast Distance put in some work to make this a seriously uplifting release...
:: Foundry - Believe :: Monster Pure :: PURE021
1) Believe Jorn van Deynhoven Remix) This 3 tracker kicks off with JvD's remix. It's energetic right off the line and sports one of those fiery, aggressive basslines which do not relent and don't give you a moment to rest. Pads and lead synths are layered on in thick swathes and the production gets bedded down very quickly. In true pure trance style, a piano (still can't get enough of 'em! ;-) ) bring in the melody before a tsunami of peak time euphoric synth action floods the scene and takes firm control of the proceedings.
2) Believe (Original Mix) The original mix still packs energy, the bassline rolls well but the levels are restarined to begin with. You're teased by the piano very early on and this is a nice touch, as it draws you in to what is a calmer, more atmospheric track with a longer and more charming melodic line.
3) Believe (Fast Distance Remix) Fast Distance has been a busy bee this year. Multiple releases and remixes have flowed from this exciting producer, and this remix of 'Believe' is no exception. He injects a whole new strain of electricity into the production. The bassline is incredibly fat, backed by ghostly pads, creating a unique atmosphere. A simplified lead synth takes control with a clean and easy to hear sound and this is guided and handled well by the soothing chord progression. What makes this stand out is the finesse in the production - the sounds are balanced and they are clinically finished. The pads are so soft they could be made of feathers and the basses so deep and full they'd give the Pacific a run for its money. It also weighs in at over 9 minutes long so you get a whole lot of tune to listen to as well, and not a moment of it is boring either!
Conclusion:
It does what it says on the tin - pure trance, it's that simple. Check out fast Distance's remix, it's seriously good stuff.
