 The techno acid sounds of Josh Wink will be breaking free at the beginning of February with his new artist album release which has a bit of a fruit theme. On the eve of that he will be on Radio 1's Essential mix...
Josh Wink may well be widely known for his 'Higher State Of Consciousness' track released in the nineties which featured the first ever recorded rap by R2D2 (I made that bit up but it did have a very noticeable hook to it) but these days his sound is more about Techno. You may remember him in recent times for his superb mix compilations 'Profound Sounds' which is currently up to volume number three.
My Wink trivia may be a little dusty but I can't recall the last artist album he produced but this forthcoming offering was made with the past in mind. The title refers to a time when people would listen to all types of music and not be separated by style or tag. Expect to find a blend of tech house gems with in parts a minimal feel bringing deep atmospheric rhythms. Spread over nine tracks and featuring 'Stay Out All Night' which is a single Josh released last year and is a very good one at that the signs are good that this one is well worth picking up.

Josh On The Essential Mix
The biggest radio station in the UK has to be Radio 1 and one of their most sought after dance music shows that every DJ wants to be on is the Essential Mix. There is a different artist each week showcasing their musical talents over a two hour mix. Josh Wink has been there before and is coming back again at the end of this month. Put the 24th January at 3AM GMT in your Diary as Josh will be at Radio 1 towers with a two hour Essential mix. I would think he will be slipping in new tracks from his album so it could be a very nice taster of things to come.
