Everything is more than just OK for Jaytech who kicks off 2009 with a cracking new single continuing on from the success of his debut artist album last year. We caught up with him for a quick update...
There is more to life down under than sunny beaches and barbeques. One of Australia's finest dance music imports of recent years is Aussie born Jaytech. He's been releasing records under the alias since 2004 but since being signed to the Anjunbeats network of labels he's gone from strength to strength. One of the highlights from last year was 'Pepe's Garden' and the release of his debut artist album 'Everything is OK'.
He has a new single to start the New Year off as he finished the last called 'Nemesis / Sundance' which is quite outstanding. Very fresh new tracks that are doing the rounds on the DJ circuit at the moment and one's I would recommend picking up for your own personal enjoyment.
We caught up with Jaytech for a quick update on what he's currently up to:
Having been settled back into Aussie life for a while, I'm off jetsetting again in a few weeks. I'm joining Above & Beyond on their Anjunadeep:01 North America tour in February, which I'm super excited about! Their Anjunadeep:01 double mix CD is coming out soon featuring four of my tracks, and I'll be joining them on 10 dates over three weeks, so it'll be quite an intense time.
After that, I'm heading back to the UK and will be touring UK and Europe for March and April. I've got two original releases forthcoming on Anjunadeep - the first is called "Metro" and you can hear it over at my MySpace page. The next release features two tracks, "Delta" and "Wannabe" - you can hear Delta on the Anjunadeep:01 compilation also. I've just finished a remix of Jonathan Allyn's track "Near You" on AVA recordings as well as a remix for Boom Jinx and Oliver Smith's "Sunrise" on Anjunabeats.
Six months since it's release, "Everything is OK" is doing really well and has done great things for my profile. I was lucky enough to have Armin van Buuren use my track "Pepe's Garden" in his A State of Trance 2008 Yearmix which has just been released as a double CD compilation also.
I'll be missing the Aussie sunshine when I leave, but the lure of overseas adventures is too great!
Jaytech
