Above & Beyond Remix Album & Competition Winner Announced

© Above & Beyond You might remember at the end of last year the threesome of Above & Beyond launched a competition for you to record the video for Oceanlab's forthcoming single 'On A Good Day'. They have now announced the winner and news of a new album...

We have some juicy news from the headquarters of Above & Beyond who seem to be getting bigger with every release spread over their numerous outlets. They have just announced the winners for a video competition they started at the end of last year. Usually it’s up to the producers to put together a video for their records but in the case of Oceanlab's forthcoming single 'On A Good Day' they decided to do something a bit different. The boys decided to let you control the video and asked the public to create their own videos to go along with the single. They have had an overwhelming number of entries from people all over the globe and now are ready to announce the winner.

They have published the winner along with their favourite entries in a special ten minute video with the winner's video played in full. The winning video they say 'Captures what the meaning of the song is all about' and is by Ashley Tritton from Vancover. It's a very professional looking effort and features the hustle and bustle of city life with a nice looking lady telling the story. It's certainly better than what my video skills could ever manage and congratulations to the winner as I'm sure a shower of Anjunabeats goodies are on their way to you. The video will be the official music video for 'On A Good Day' which will be released on the 16th March.

Sirens Of The Sea - Remixed!

It's becoming a trend with most albums at the moment to have a remix package following on from the original released and coming your way in June there will be a remix album of 'Sirens of The Sea' - the debut album from Oceanlab - coming out. The album will be released on the Anjunabeats label and feature remixes from Above & Beyond themselves, Lange and Gareth Emery. More information on the release will be available soon but keep your eyes pealed on the Above & Beyond web site as it will be published on their first. The original album may not have been to every Oceanlab fans taste but the remix version should notch it up to another level. The only release news is that it will be out sometime in June.
