The summer is looking to be another packed one for one of the world’s greatest electronic dance music artists Paul van Dyk. He will be on tour in the states throughout June and has a very special new album in the pipeline...
The mighty Paul van Dyk knows a thing or two about Dance music, he's been involved in the Industry for well over 15 years and has played live to the biggest crowds any DJ could ever wish to spin live two. He's at the forefront of the new digital way of mixing records together with a very unique live setup, when playing his sets he plays a lot of the keys live using a mixture of software and external keyboards. His music over the years has inspired many of the DJ's you see coming through today with timeless classic cuts like 'For An Angel' and 'Forbidden Fruit'. Snap forward to today and this summer looks to be a very busy one for the Berlin born German Trance god.
Paul van Dyk Survey
You may remember we brought news of this last month and there is still time to put forward your opinions to grab a free Paul van Dyk track. It's basically a survey on what you would like to hear more from Paul and his Vandit label with entries being thrown into a draw to win tickets to see Paul on his summer tour of the States later this June. On completing the survey you will also get a free Paul van Dyk track so get putting your thoughts to the man.
Paul van Dyk 'Best Of' Album & New Singles
There have been mutterings around various news sites of a new Paul van Dyk album and the ramblings have been correct as Paul will be releasing a 'Best of' compilation this summer. The compilation will feature a mixed bag of his original anthems and feature remixes of his classic tracks. There has been no track list but with the full Paul van Dyk discography to choose from its sure to feature some smashing music spread over his 15 year producing career. His first album release came in 1994 with 45rpm and with this being a 'Best of' its sure to feature some of his earlier classics as well as his more recent gems.
Further more in the pipeline will be two new singles. The first will be an update of the classic 'For An Angel' with brand new 2009 remixes from Paul himself Filo and Peri, Activa, Inpetto, Klaas, Spencer & Hill, Dave Darell and Miika Kuisma. The 'E-Work Mix' for me goes down as one of the best tracks Paul has ever produced and its not a track that has been remixed that much in the past. Lets hope the new mixes do this classic justice. The second new release is an all new single called 'Home' and will feature the vocalist from 'a previous track of his,Time Of Our Lives', Johnny McDaid. Paul has been pumping this one out in his recent gigs and the reaction has been great so far. The release date for this should be late in May and I'm sure featuring some big artists on the remix list.

VONYC Sessions Lives On
The closure of VONYC Sessions radio channel at the beginning of last month was sad news for those of you who enjoyed the hours of endless electronica stream out from the channel. Paul's own VONYC Session show is safe and sound and is now broadcast over the traditional airwaves in England, Holland and Bavaria. Check Paul's site for details on station host and broadcast times as they do vary from station to station.
