When Pete Tong starts to like your music you know you’re doing good things with your music and with a growing following in the dance music scene seminal house producer Kris Menace has his debut artist collection to showcase his talents...
The electronic sounds of upcoming House producer and DJ Kris Menace should ring a bell in your ear, especially with his debut smash from 2005 'Discopolis' being one of the biggest tunes of that year. Since that time he has been building up his reputation as both a producer and DJ and along the way impressed the likes of Pete Tong, Erol Alkan and Laurent Garnier who are very big fans of his stuff. He has had steady stream of releases over the past few years with many of those packed into this three disc artist album.
The first disc compiles his best artist work to date with more flowing house grooves on offer like Metropolis and the excellent Discopolis showing he can put together some well thought out beats with melodies to please the laziest of ears. The swirling sound in a lot of his records should go down a treat with those who like their house. The second disc is just as delightful as the first with a mixture of productions like the chilled Sensuality to the tech vibe sounds of Challenger. The real bonus with the CD edition is the addition of a third disc full of Kris's finest remixes to date of the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Moby and Underworld.
