© PushThe return of Push to the Trance scene was a welcome one last year and 15 years on from his first single release its time for a brand new artist album...

There have been quite a few different Aliases Mike Dierickx has used over the years but quite possibly his most well known and respected one is 'Push'. It's surprising to hear that this years marks 15 years since the first ever Push single was released back in 1994 with 'Acid Hysteria'. That early work may not be one that you may have even heard as it was not until 1998 that Push released the timeless classic 'Universal Nation’, which I would mark down as one of the greatest Trance records ever created, that dance music fans discovered the 'Push' sound. That was the start of the flurry of classic after classic with 'Till We Meet Again', Strange World, and 'The Legacy' cementing his reputation as one of the genre's best artists.

There was a few years from 2006 until last year that many Trance fans thought they had heard the last of 'Push' but thankfully that all changed when he burst back onto the scene with 'Dream Designer' on his very own 'Club Elite' label, the Push was back!

"The time was right to bring back what everybody was waiting for. You’ve got the pro’s, you’ve got the con’s. But I just want to make music that I love without having the feeling of people telling me what to do! I don’t want to go back in time again and live forever on previous successes. I’m not in competition with myself; I just strive to a new global sound, trying to be innovative as much as I can.”

    Push

The four releases so far in the two years since the return have all been excellent productions keeping in line with the classic Push sound but bringing it up to date with today’s ever changing musical styles. The new album marks the real return of Push back into a scene that welcomes him with open arms and looks forward to music for years to come. The driving Trance delivered with progressive and techy edges is classic Push and spread over the double disc album is pure creative passion let loose that will elevate anyone’s passion for Trance music.
"The same feel with the sound of today, that’s what 'Global Age' sounds like. The album has a progressive touch and goes into a trancy melodic journey.

'Global Age' refers to all my travelling, my gigs, going on tour, making music on the move, it’s all part of the new global movement. There is no age on global clubbing, there is no age on making music, there is no age set on making fun in your life and doing where you live for."

This is one of the albums you must get your hands on this summer and for an artist album, two discs is a welcome surprise. There is a special web site set up for the album with samples of the tracks and details of the release party at the Ministry of Sound club next month. You can and very well should pre-order the album now from Astral Music as this marks Push's firm return to the Trance scene and he's back for good!
