The only DJ to ever play at the Olympic Games will be putting the finishing touches to his next artist studio album during this summer ready for the coming autumn...
He may have relinquished his number one status in the Top 100 Poll by DJ Magazine in recent years but the artist formally known as DJ Tiesto and now just Tiesto is still one of the biggest dance music icons on the planet. His last artist album seems an age away but 'Elements Of Life' was only released back in 2007 with the remix edition (A aftermarket add on that seems to be getting more popular with artist albums these days) only just released last year. It's been a little while since his last production release and that usually means there is an artist hard at work. Hard at work Tiesto is as he has announced that his next studio album will be released in September.
Tiësto has just told the LA Times that his anxiously-awaited new album is slated to come out this September! In an article that appeared last Friday, Tiësto told a Times reporter that, not only should the album drop that month but that LA itself was a major influence on this record's sound. He said, 'The six weeks I spent in Los Angeles last October and November were probably the biggest inspiration I had in making this new album. I was going out a lot, listening to music, hearing bands play. It pointed me in a new direction.'

I wonder what this new direction will be, maybe he's going to go all Electro like Ferry Corsten did with his two previous albums before 'Twice In A Blue Moon'. Only time will tell and as yet he has not announced a title, track list or firm date in September when his new release will hit the shops. It may well be one to look out for though.
