Paul Oakenfold is back with a new mix compilation this summer on Thrive Records. It may not be the Trance you remember him for back in the 90's but it’s certainly not a compilation full of his pop remixes...
Paul Oakenfold is one of the brains behind some of Pop's biggest names and is mainly spending his producing skills remixing productions by Madonna and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers rather than full on dance music. If your like me you will know him for his thunderous 'Tranceport' compilations and epic releases on his own Perfecto Records label.
He is still in touch with his club music and last year setup a Perfecto night at Palms Hotel & Casino in Vegas for a weekly club night to match that of a night in Ibiza. That night has had some very big DJ's pop over and play like Nick Warren and David Guetta with Paul playing there every week.
That is what his brand new compilation is all about which is coming out next week. He has selected 21 exclusive tracks especially for the compilation which are described to be nothing like his pop remixes but more the Oakenfold sound we all loved from 2004. If you don’t believe that then have a little listen to this exclusive snippet taken from the album just to give you a taste of what to expect.
Release Date: 7th July
