Gatecrasher Dig Up The Trance Classics

Gatecrasher compilations are always a welcome sight on record store shop fronts and Crasher are here with a new one for this summer. I say new but its more a friendly reminder...

The Gatecrasher that exists today may well be different to what it was back in the late 90's when its super club in Sheffield was the biggest Trance club in the UK at the time. The club scene has gone through quite a few changes since then but the Gatecrasher brand has remained solid throughout and its clubs are still some of the best in the country. One thing they do not do that much in today's club scene is fresh compilations like they used to. There last few have all been classic related and have a guess what there new one is?

It's another classic compilation. This time its a three disc DJ mix with Crasher old residents Scott Bond, Matt Hardwick and Judge Jules returning. IT's been a long time since the Judge was a weekly resident for Gatecrasher but his mix brings the Trance sound bang up to date with some of this year's biggest tracks. The other two mixes are a welcome return for two DJ's who mixed Gatecrasher compilations of legendary status years ago but I'd fear are all tracks you will have heard on the other five classic compilation CD's you own. They do mix it up a little with a few new remixes of old classics that have come out this year like Filo & Peri's remix of 'For An Angel' and Guiseppe Ottoviani's update of 'Forbidden Fruit'.

For those into the scene it will be a nice reminder or just another pointless classic compilation but for those new to it it's an essential education.
