© Global Underground The compilation series that world renowned label Global Underground are best know for is about to release its 37th edition. James Lavelle is at the controls with Bangkok providing the inspiration...

The Global Underground brand keeps getting bigger and bigger and has ridden through the rocky waters of post superclub and remained one of the forces within the Electronic music scene. They now have a littering of quality compilations catering for various styles of music but the 'City Series', as they like to call it is arguable the best out of the lot not to mention the longest running. The talents of Sasha, John Digweed, Deep Dish and the late Tony De Vit contributed to the early volumes with their recent releases by Nick Warren and Darren Emerson being nothing short of superb.

It's time for a new one then and the city of choice for James Lavelle is Bangkok chosen for its vibrant nightlife and multi-cultural party scene. No mention of ladyboys to be found here but plenty of quality music from one of the members of UNKLE. It's been five years since his last compilation release for Global Underground and its a welcome return with two discs of progressive house and tech.
