Daniel Wanrooy On The Next 'In Trance We Trust'

Having a think about it it’s only a matter of time before Black Hole Recordings, who publish the ITWT series, put Daniel Wanrooy in charge of one of their compilations. The series has a cult level of appeal within the trance community and does act as a highlight of the quality lurking within the Black Hole label. His mixture of atmospheric trance and progressive fit in perfectly with what the series is all about and it's due a new one as the last release by Carl B seems a long time ago, even though that only just came out at the beginning of the year. I'm sure the compilation will be welcomed by all those with a fondness for Trance but no tracklist of firm release has been released yet only to say it’s due in the middle of September. Great news I think you will agree but for now, on with the latest from Daniel Wanrooy.

ITWT - Mixed By Daniel Wanrooy

This summer will see Daniel Wanrooy's set off on his first compilation expedition, taking the helm of the next 'In Trance We Trust' compilation. Long a favourite pre-and-post-club listen for trance heads around the globe, Daniel's mix will encapsulate the same lush, seaside atmospherics for which his own productions are so well known. The full tracklist will feature in the next bulletin and the compilation itself will be released mid-September.

New releases and remixes

Things have been about as hectic as they've ever been on the production front for Daniel. He's just signed his latest opus to Spinnin' Records' Reset off-shoot. Entitled 'B52' it promises to drop the proverbial 'bomb'! He's also been working hard on the intro track for his ITWT comp, which features the vocals of one Melissa Mathes. Elsewhere the ink has only just dried on Black Hole's signing of 'Showtime' and 'Bittersweet'. The two-headed floor-beast will be out late summer/early autumn. Last and by no means (whatsoever!) he's also remixed 'Summersault', Taste Xperience's much-loved, late 90's operatic floor-shifter (which also features a remix from Tiësto on the package). It's out on Perfecto on the 25th of August.

Late summer 2009 sees Daniel heading headphones-in-hand to multiple corners of the globe. He'll be doing short tour of South Africa, spinning in both Johannesburg and Cape Town before heading off to play the monster Jumeirah beach party in Dubai. Later in September he'll be spinning hard at the Technoparade before making tracks for... Woodstock. No, not the world's most famous festival ever (that would indeed be a trick!) but the one in beautiful Bloemendaal in Holland.
