© Trance Awards 2009 The 5th annual Trance Awards are in full flow and voting is well under way. The build up continues with the forthcoming release of the Trance Awards compilation with a slight euphoric flavour...

The Trance Awards are back for a 5th year and are a celebration of everything the Trance genre has to offer when it comes to artists, tracks, clubs, labels and fans. The style is as strong as ever and although certain members of the population like to call it something else because the cheesy rubbish that’s gets associated, Trance is still one of the most popular dance music styles all over the globe. The Awards are still open for your votes until the 28th September and from the figures released so far the poll has recorded a record number of votes so far.

With their ties at the Ministry of Sound, who will be hosting the Awards night on the 8th October, they have given their Euphoria brand a dust off for a three disc Trance Awards compilation. The Euphoria name was taken over by the Ministry of Sound a few years ago and although they have released some right lemons using the brand name the more recent Euphoria release have been of the highest quality. This compilation is no exception with two discs mixed by Sean Tyas and Simon Patterson, two of Trance's most hottest talents are the moment. The third disc is mixed by newcomer Claudia Cazacu who has totted up quite a reputation in the last year with a string of very strong releases, some of which are in her mix. That trio will be performing live at the Awards night so these mixes can give you a taste of what to expect if you’re going to the party or just a highlight of what you’re missing out on if you are not.

It's a very tasty compilation and one I'd snap up as soon as you can get your hands on it. It's got some of this years biggest Trance records on from the likes of Simon Patterson, Aly & Fila, Sean Tyas, Thomas Bronzwaer, Dave 202, Activa, Gareth Emery and DJ Eco.
