The Digital Society has moved from just being a popular club night with an expanding collection of artists, venues and compilations. Their International series is about to hit volume two and John Askew takes the controls...
The Digital Society has fast grown in size over the course of this year and looks to be getting bigger and better for next year. They have gone from a popular club night in the midlands to a clubbing brand which has already seen the release of one compilation to great success. The addition of former Gatecrasher resident Matt Hardwick owes much to the first (In what they like to call the 'International Series') compilation's success. They have a very big scope of DJ talent on their books for the events they have been pushing during this year with the likes of John Askew, Activa, Lange, Tom Colontonio, Leon Boiler, Push and John O'Callaghan all displaying their DJ talents at the club nights.
They also do a monthly pod cast which features a new sizzling hot DJ mix from their talent pool for one jam packed hour of free flowing music. The focus for the society is mainly on Trance and that’s just what you can expect with their international series volume 2. John Askew takes control of the two discs and rams more tracks in that passengers on a peak time Japanese commuter train! He has really gone to town with this as John as rammed in over 47 tracks with the second disc having 25 of them. I'd expect lots of funky edits, reworks and chopped up mixes with the two CD's but I can guarantee you quality. But, don’t take my word for it have a look at the tracklist, it’s full of some great records. There is a mix of latest material and some old tracks from earlier this year with a scattering of Askew productions as you would expect.
It looks hot and should warm you up come November when things start to get a little chilly. It's being released on Will Holland's Enhanced label with the release date at the bottom of the page.
