The brand new compilation from John Digweed & Nick Muir on their progressive specialist label Bedrock is about to hit the stores next week...
Bedrock is much more than just a label to John Digweed and Nick Muir. The name is also a artist, club night and well respected publisher of fine electronic dance music played on the worlds biggest stages. The annual compilation series picks tracks from the label's own in house stable, exclusive new tunes and some of the pair's current favourite pieces of music all spread over a three disc compilation. In terms of classic records Bedrock, the artist, are known for a few with the 99's smash 'Heaven Scent' still being one of the finest tracks to ever be created.
They may have moved into a progressive house flavour with their music these days but the quality remains the same. The Bedrock club nights are also a big part of the label's success with big gigs at a club called 'Matter' down London being very busy each event. The dance music history of Nick Muir and John Digweed go back to the early 90's, with the pair injecting the scene with fresh music for well over a decade. The compilation also runs alongside Bedrock's eleventh birthday as a record label with a massive party being held on the 17th October at Matter to celebrate the milestone.
Not everyone is close to the UK's capital so this three disc collection of progressive beats should be the perfect cure for your Bedrock addiction. They will also be releasing six 12" editions featuring the highlights from the compilation, all in full length glory. even for the DJ at mind the compilation picks out, funnily enough, eleven full length tracks form the two mixes on a third bonus disc.
