Lange's latest single release on his own imprint features the vocals of Sarah Howells and remixes by Ronski Speed and Genix. He's 'Let It All Out' for this one...
The perks of having your own label do mean you've always got somewhere to release your records, not that Lange would have any trouble finding a home for his latest productions. He's a big icon in the Trance scene and has been pumping through beats for well over ten years with classic tunes not only under his Lange name but also as Firewall, which will be making a return before the end of the year! This latest track is a vocal affair filled with Lange magic and helped along by remixes from Ronski Speed and Genix.
:: Original Mix :: Ronski Speed Remix :: Genix Re-Rub
The Original mix is where things all begin and you might be very surprises with the sound Lange has managed to thrown into this latest single. It's a got a touch of industrial about with its high impact tin claps and punchy beat. The build up is very well worked indeed though with a scruffy sounding bass riff underneath all the beats and claps. The vocal drops in with a metallic effect to the sound which fits with the rest of the style of the track and gives that industrial feel I'm on about. On the lead the sweeps in the background are worked in well with a change in tone once they get worked in. The main break drops in a guitar melody that comes in two parts, the first being an epic chord and the second being a short string to build back up the beat. When it does the bass ripples drive things forward and vocals touch back in again.
With a original like that the remixes should be just as good. Ronski Speed is first up with his offering. He puts a softer touch on things from the opening using a different tone on the beat and lead claps. It's not got that industrial feel the original had more the melodic uplifting feel you expect from Ronski. The vocal remains unchanged with its sound but after its fed in the main break leads stright away with the guitar string. That feeds out to feed in a stronger guitar string pushing the vocals into it and unleashing a perky break beat main break that rolls into a drumbeat and pops with a euphoric melody. Super stuff from Ronski this and a great uplifting tale once everything gets going.
Genix's little re-rub is something a bit different from the others leading straight away with the guitar string and popping the vocal in straight away. He gets things going with an almost funky beat arrangement from the start with crisp claps and 'pops' off the beats. The main break drives with the guitar and builds up with a symbol roll, dropping the beat in progressively. The sequence after the main break is the best bit for me with a deeply electro undertone behind the bass line. A little funky? Yes, and a little different.
Conclusion:
The original mix would be my pick of the bunch but the support from the remixes are very strong with Ronski's being the more melodic and Genix dropping some funk in with his production. Lange does the business yet again though and its one you should pick up!
