© garudaThe Sound of Garuda is a brand new mix compilation from Label creator Gareth Emery to be released on the very well known Be Yourself Music brand. It's a musical insight into the sound that has made Gareth Emery one of the biggest names in trance...

It al started with a simple tune made on an old laptop that warmed the hearts of Trance heads around the globe back in 2003 with 'Blaze' under his Cupa alias. From that moment on he has been pushing up through the scene with a unique sound in his productions and some simply stunning DJ sets. If there is a DJ that deserves to be in the current best Top 10 poll then Gareth Emery is certainly one of those DJ's. He is so much more than a DJ though and made his name though being a super producer of very fine Trance records. Garuda has only been a label for just under a year and only has three releases to date but in the hands of Gareth Emery it’s got a promising future. This new compilation is not one that is full of records on the label then, its more of a musical outlook into the taste of Gareth Emery and the style of music you will find on Garuda in the years to come.

The two discs are very different with the first being a '2010' mix that captures the records that will push on into next year and rip up dance floors all over the globe. It compiles the current crop of Trance inspired gems like Sander van Doorn's new 'Ninety' track which is going to be huge. An exclusive new record from Andy Perring who is back with his Pulser guise with 'Broken Universe' and 'Sunstroke' from Be:Gold, no prizes for guessing that's Ben Gold's alias. The mix takes you through the progressive, tech and uplifting sounds of Trance finish off with two full on euphoric new records from Greg Downey and Activa.

The second disc is a retrospective look back at '2009' with the records that have been tried and tested in the clubs, festivals and bedroom sound systems all over the world. If you have peek at the track list you will be very familiar with the tracks Gareth has selected as his highlights of the past Trance year gone, although we still have a few months before the end of 2009 to get through just yet. The mix is also in injected with some spice from Mr Emery himself with his own huge trance hit 'Exposure' and his outstanding remix of 'Lonely Girl' from Oceanlab.

This really is a compilation you don’t want to miss out on as if you have been to see Gareth Emery live this year you will have been left in a state of total euphoria at the quality of his set. The sound of Garuda is tracks chosen by Gareth, mixed by Gareth, remixed by Gareth and produced by Emery. This one drops at the end of November on Be Yourself Music.
