These single releases from Sander might look a bit empty on the track list but this latest one sided EP from Sander on his own label makes up for that. It's possibly his best recording he's ever released...
The advantages of having your own label is you always have a place to release your own productions, not suggesting that Sander would have any trouble getting a label to sign his latest masterpiece. While he has been offering his own production tips and techniques in his tutorial series on his YouTube channel the copycats have not gone to work on his sound just yet. The latest bomb to explode from Sander comes on his very own Doorn Recordings and is the follow up to his last single sided release 'Bastillion'. That was a driving piece of uplifting tech infused piece of Trance if I must say. He's twisted the wick with 'Ninety' though and gone very big with the riff. If you have not heard this one already then you really should get on it.
:: Ninety
There area few records that don’t need a remix and Ninety is certainly one of them. Things begin innocently enough with a skippy dubbed beat and slashing kick before the main bass drum comes in. It’s bouncy at first then in from the bass growls a short intro before the thunderously rich groove hits the background. The building nature of that groove on the lead is excellent with it dropping back then building back again. It does this when the beat drops off and you’re treated to a quick sample of the huge riff that’s about to explode later on. It is only when the build cuts and your left with a tweaking chord that washes away with an electro FX sweep into almost silence that the hug riff drops. The riff is deeply addictive and takes a small break as the sounds build up and unleash with the riff in full flow. This is pure tech fused joy with a deeply rich undertone that should set alight the most stubborn of speaker.
Conclusion:
One of the finest tracks form Sander I can ever recall him producing and definitely one of the best tracks to be let loose on Doorn Recordings this year. Only a single EP but it should more than fill your Sander van Doorn addiction.
