It may not quite be the season off goodwill just yet but that’s no reason not to start it off early. Christopher Lawrence is feeling the goodwill to all his fans around the globe as he is giving away a bootleg track he did for a U2 record...
It's not that often that you get a free track from an artist but Christopher Lawrence is feeling generous and is making his bootleg mix of U2's 'Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight' available for free. It's a mix he did from a track taken off the fifth studio album 'No Line On The Horizon' by U2 who have been selling out events over the past few months and just finished their European leg of the world tour. The single did have a full release in September with Dirty South, Fish Out Of Water, and Redanka providing the official remixes for it.
The vocals caught the eye of Christopher Lawrence and although he may not be known for his vocal productions his bootleg mix was superb. Dropping his edgy house and trance beats with the male vocals of Bono motoring along with an acid bass line it's a mix worthy of a release. It's been out on promo for the past month or so and gone down well with those who played it, heard it and got down to it. "Being given the opportunity to remix one of U2's songs was a dream come true. Bono's voice is a such a signature sound to the band's identity, I felt it was important to use as much of the original vocals of the song as possible to maintain the integrity of the song".
Christopher Lawrence It's not the first time a dance music artist has taken to a U2 record; remember Ferry's remix of 'New Year's Day'? It may well be the first time a major artist has given it away for free though. Christopher Lawrence is the biggest Trance DJ in America and is known to many for bringing the underground up to the surface. Follow the link below to grab the mix.
