She's one of the biggest Trance names in Australia and 2009 has been her biggest year yet with her last pumping EP ''The Last Testament' going down a storm. We have all the latest news and a quick Q&A from DJ Ange...
She may be known as DJ Ange but this wizard of Trance is much more that just a DJ as her finely crafted productions throughout this year have proved. Coming from Australia - a country not known for pushing out that many famous names on the electronic dance music scene - she has been spending this past summer enjoying her 2nd year as a resident over in Ibiza. It's been a year where her productions have taken off with her last release on Conspiracy Records 'The Last Testament' being a firm favourite with the likes of Jon O'Bir, Eddie Halliwell, Solarstone and Activa over the past month. It's not surprising to know why as 'Last Testament' especially is a full on driving Trance record that’s got uplift within it a plenty.
She's a name to keep an eye on for 2010 as more productions are on the way. In the meantime she has dropped over her latest update for December and very kindly answered a quick Q&A on her thoughts from the past twelve months.

Little did I know just how many people actually care about what music I like hahaha. The Fan Page as of today (Tuesday) has now toppled 10,000 fans. The i:Vibes Quick Five
We are always one to pick the brains of our favourite Electronic artists here on i:Vibes and had a quick fire five to fire over the DJ Ange.
i:Vibes: What have been the highlights of 2009 for you?
Ange: 2009 has been a pretty big year for me. It's seen my 2nd year as a resident DJ in Ibiza but moreover has been huge for me in production. I put out my first release at the very end of 2008 so the support really came at the beginning of the year. That release (S.E.A./Iron Cove) got support from TIESTO, M.I.K.E., SIED VAN RIEL _ so many more. It really set the tone for the rest of the year.
During the European Summer I headed back to Ibiza for a 2nd year as a resident DJ on the island.
Then just recently at the beginning of November I released a 3-track EP on Conspiracy Recordings called 'The Last Testament EP' which got support from some great names including SOLARSTONE & ROBBIE NELSON 3 weeks in a row on their Solaris International show (including Tune of the Week) as well as heaps of others like SEAN TYAS, MENNO DE JONG & EDDIE HALLIWELL to name a few.
I've actually written in total 9 originals and 1 remix in 2009. The remix and another 4 originals will be released in 2010 but its definitely been a hectic year for production.
It's also good to be back home in Australia for the summer where I've just started my new residency with Sydney's most well known Trance Brand - Sublime @ Home Nightclub.
i:Vibes: What's been the best festival of the year?
Ange: I've actually not made it along to any festivals this year although I guess you can call Ibiza one big long festival.
i:Vibes: Who has been your favourite producers through this year?
Ange: My favourites are Gareth Emery, Ben Gold, Tritonal, Paul Webster & Paul Trainer. To be honest I could be here forever as there have been a lot of different producers I've been enjoying this year but these guys have stood out.
i:Vibes: Who's your tip to be big in 2010?
Ange: Ben Gold really is becoming a force to be reckoned with and I think Paul Webster has stepped up to the big league now too.
i:Vibes: Finally to those who have not heard much from DJ Ange, what got you into the electronic music scene?
Ange: Napster .... quite simple really. When Napster first came out my sister and I started searching different genres to see what we liked. We quickly discovered a love for Trance and started downloading all the live sets we could get our hands on. I've never really been much of a clubber mostly because a lot of my friends at the time weren't interested in EDM so I just used to enjoy it at home then one day I just decided I wanted to know what it was like on the other side of the decks .... and the rest is history really.
