The biggest event in the Trance calender returns again next year and the official line up has now been released with Above & Beyond headlining the mainstage and a very special invitation for High Contrast...
It's the only event during the year, if you count out the Trance Awards that is solely dedicated to the genre that we all know as Trance. The genre may have changed from when the event first started with the likes of Tiesto (with the DJ as he was once known), Paul van Dyk and Ferry Corsten but the event certainly has not and keeps getting bigger every year. Last year they welcomed to the return of Paul van Dyk to the event who is one of the DJ's that put Trance on the map and still is one of the biggest names on the scene today but has evolved other electronic genres into his playlists and although many may tag him as a Trance DJ still, they do so very much misinformed. Paul still knows a good Trance record though and this year's line up features some of the best around at the moment.
Four stages for this year with the main stage welcoming the legend that is BT to Trance Energy, I'd have to get the record books out to see if he has ever played at the event before but with his new album 'These Hopeful Machines 'imminent and his latest single featuring remixes from Armin van Buuren and hardwell his appearance will be wetting the electronic appetites for sure. Above & Beyond will be there putting the uplifting feeling into the crowd and the double up of Simon Patterson & Sean Tyas should really set things on fire. The High Contrast Recordings label have their own stage this year with Marco V pushing his Propaganda along with Richard Durand and a very special guest's Cosmic Gate popping along.
It's a surprise not to see Armin van Buuren featuring at the event with his recent number one DJ poll success, but with so many talents on the scene you can't book everybody. I have a feeling that they are not done with announcing the talent just yet so keep checking over to the refreshed Trance Energy site for all the latest news regarding the event.
