It's the final update this year from Leon Boiler with a very special seasonal message to all his supporters and friends. It may be the holiday season Leon has not put his feet up just yet…

It's been a great year for Leon Boiler and may all the crew here at i:Vibes wish him a very Merry Christmas and New Year! Time may be winding up another decade of dance music but Leon is still hard at it with a very busy seasonal period coming up with no doubt a few turkey sandwiches providing the energy for it. His Streamlined compilation has been one of his highlights throughout 2009 and of course his very own productions. In this last update before the clock strikes midnight he has news of his latest single 'NSFW' (Clearing up some misconceptions about the tracks' meaning along the way) with a smoking hot remix from Push! We have all that and a very special comment from Leon coming right up.

Season Greetings From Leon!

“At the end of 2009 I'd like to have the opportunity to address my fans and everyone else who are reading this newsmailer. Yet again it’s been incredible - one where I’ve had the honour of debuting in new countries and I must say I enjoyed it to the bone! I have seen so many passionate crowds in the last 12 months, and each time realized how lucky I am, being able to share with you what I enjoy most - the music! In between all the travelling I have been busy in my studio - the previous bulletins already told you all much about that. I’m also proud that this year I released Streamlined 2009 - my first solo DJ mix compilation, as well as a bunch of well received tracks and remixes. Next to this you’ve probably noticed that I wanted to expand Streamlined’s concept – radio shows, mix CDs and now club nights.

I was also voted 63rd biggest DJ of the world because of you, the fans, the music lovers, & the audience – I feel the greatest gratitude for that, from the bottom of my heart. Heh, you made my year! Have a Merry Christmas, a great 2010, maybe see you in Club Poema on Boxing Day or Gatecrasher during NYE!'”

As mentioned, in Mr Bolier’s seasonal address above, it now just a question of days (rather than irritating weeks or way too looong months!) before Streamlined takes to the stage and becomes… The Event! LB Says: I think I would likely be sued by the animal rights organizations for bringing about the extinction of the species. On the other hand, you said we were the only organisms left alive... Hmmm. Dilemmas, dilemmas!

Mohamed Degwy, also of Cairo, Egypt asks: If you went to the moon, never to return, and you didn’t have anything else with you except a Pioneer mixer and CDJs would you use it for anything else than playing music??
LB Says: If I don’t have anything except a mixer and CDJs, it means I don’t have any CDs to play. Survival on the moon would mean some quick prioritizing so I would probably build a toilet using the items mentioned.

“A couple of weeks back a Dutch legend died: Ramses Shaffy. I’ll just keep this plain and straightforward for anyone outside of Holland - he was a legend, one that sang about Life with a capital ‘L’. The way he performed his songs reflected power and a longing to live life to the max (which he clearly did himself). When he died I started searching on YouTube and found this clip of him performing one of his biggest hits, together with some other musicians. You’ll see for yourself in the video he is already an old man already, but because of this, his voice really reflects that he lived a good life. Just judge for yourself (in French and Dutch, still worth checking out!).”
