The darker side of Anjunabeats will be surfacing during the middle of February with the second instalment of their 'Anjunadeep' compilation series mixed this time around by James Grant and Jaytech...
Be prepared for another double disc explosion of dark moody beats and progressive anthems when Anjunabeats let their second 'Anjunadeep' compilation loose in February. The first edition was a collective of the Anjunadeep label's finest releases; back last year in the same month as this new one will break cover. The label is a direct offshoot from the main Anjunabeats label and focuses more on the house / progressive side of things and over the past year has presented new tracks from Boom Jinx, Jaytech, Dinka, Michael Casseette and PROFF. The first volume took upon a general mix from the label owners Above & Beyond but this next volume has enlisted two of the label's most talented artists.
James Grant has been in charge of the label since it surfaced in 2005 and throughout last year produced Anjnadeep editions of of Anjunabeats worldwide radio show. As the second name suggests he is also the brother of Jono Grant, who is one of the three who make up Above & Beyond. It would seem the good musical taste runs in the family. The second disc has Australian Jaytech providing the mix who is one of the best artists on the label and had his debut album 'Everything Is OK' released on the label in 2008. His past productions include tracks like 'Pepe's Garden', 'Delta' and most recently 'Milano' which is due out on the 4th January (Tomorrow if you’re reading this today). The second edition then is in very safe hands and although no firm tracklist has been published yet you will find new tracks from Boom Jinx, Jody Wisternoff, BT, Jaytech, Paul Keeley and Andrew Bayer.
The release date is below but if can't wait to secure your copy you can pre-order the compilation right now from the Anujunabeats shop.
Release Date: 15th February
