The globe trotting Markus Schluz is ready to deliver his next compilation, this time with the extravagant surrounds of Las Vegas providing the inspiration...
He's been all over the world over the past few years’ has progressive Trance maestro Markus Schulz and along the way brought compilations inspired from where he has been. Up to now he has delivered four compilations capturing the sound of Ibiza, Miami, Toronto and Amsterdam over two mixed CD's. It all started back in 2005 after Markus set off on a world tour which has taken him all over the place absorbing different cultures and clubbing atmosphere's along the way.
The next destination to get the Markus treatment is the one and only Las Vegas. Home to the biggest casinos in the world, the world famous 'Strip' and some of most obscure architect you will ever find. It's also home to a very healthy and thriving clubbing scene with a huge choice of nightclubs catering for all electronic music tastes. It's a city that as Markus says has undergone a transformation over the past few years. “Vegas has undergone nothing short of a revolution over the last 4 years; one that’s been driven, as much as anything by the casinos”, say Markus. “I don’t think it’s overstating it to say that it’s becoming - or maybe has already become - a new world clubbing Mecca. From the outside looking in, people previously perceived that Las Vegas has been all bright lights, ‘bling, bling’ & lane upon lane of slots. Through leading nights like Rain at Fabulous and Moon at the Palms (to name just two), that’s changing very fast. For people who are seriously minded about music and clubbing, it’s going to become a place they have to say they’ve been. Hedonism has never been in short supply there – it’s why they call it Sin City! Come this new decade it might very well start to put the squeeze on Ibiza.” If this is anything like his previous compilations it is sure to be a good one. The tracks lined up look very inviting with new records from Phynn, Rex Mundi, David Forbes, Arnej and Mike Foyle.
