Marcel Woods has never been shy of inflicting a tech effect into his Trance productions. His latest weapon of trance destruction is 'Everything' which as the title suggests does have a bit of everything...
Marcel Woods is one of the finest producers around in the field of tech trance and after a series of explosive releases last year comes his brand new EP. It's just a Marcel Affair with no remixes here and is in a similar style to a previous outing 'Inside Me' which was also on the High Contrast label for which he is very much a resident for. The latest is a nicely driven tech trance male vocal affair with lots of things going off to keep your interest. For the non vocal fans, there is a dub in here to keep you happy.
:: Original Mix :: Dub Mix
The good thing about Marcel's production work over the past few years is with every release there is something new within to twist the audio senses. Everything has a dosage of tech flavour, a Marco V style male vocal and an uplifting quality that arrives through a very impacting melody right in the heart of the track. The opening leads is driven by a deep tech tinged beat and hurried along with the male vocal. The vocal does work well with the Original Mix and adds a bit of funk to the lead up. The lead that starts with the vocal cuts to a half with a burst of sound and leads a trippy chord playing and impacted kicks before it ripples back in with a muffled vocal. The main break is very well worked with the melody that is about to hit you full on fed in with a melodic string in the same tone. It’s then that the uplifting feel is thrust upon you. It's as the titles says, it’s a little bit of everything here. For those who are not fond of vocals there is a Dub which is identical bar the male vocal.
Conclusion:
It’s no wonder that this has been popping into the playlist of Paul van Dyk over the past few weeks. Another fine example of the skills that Marcel Woods has been gifted in creating driving uplifting tech fused trance. It gets my thumbs up.
