Christopher Lawrence has launched a remix competition alongside Audacious Records for a track he released on the label last year with Dave Aude and he wants you to work your magic with it...
If you have ever wanted to impress the mighty Christopher Lawrence with your production skills then here is the perfect opportunity. He has launched a remix competition in a joint venture with Audacious Records and Australian music chain Billy Hyde to remix a track he did in collaboration with Grammy nominated Dave Aude. 'Lie To Ourselves' was the first vocal production from Christopher since 2004 and while he is not that well known for his vocal efforts he hit the nail right on the head with this track. Jen Lasher had a part to play with the success of the single as it was her harmonic tone that put the track in the playlists of the likes of Matt Darey, Agnelli & Nelson, Judge Jules, Paul Oakenfold, Thrillseekers, M.I.K.E, Ronski Speed, Kuffdam, Dave Pearce, DJ Feel and David & Carr.
Fancy yourself as a bit of a producer then? This competition will be right up your street. The contest is open to any genre you feel the need to remix the track in so the sky's the limit when it comes to getting creative with the mixing desk. It's also free to enter so putting your effort into the mix wont cost you a penny.
HOW TO ENTER
In order to enter the competition all you need to do register yourself at the VIP Club on Billy Hyde Music then direct your browser to the competition page where you can download all the parts made available for the remix. That is all you need to do for the time being. Check back on the official Facebook page in the next few days for details on where to upload your finished remix.
There are some great prizes up for grabs for this competition including a full release on Audacious Records for the winning remix, Vestax VCI-300 with VFX, Korg Kaoss Pad Mini's, Ableton Live 8 and a copy of Propellerhead's Reason 4. The closing date for all entries is the 15th of March 2010 so be sure to have put the finishing touches to your efforts by then.
