The latest blend of uplifting trance audio from Liquid Recordings will be arriving shortly with a brand new track from Peter Martijn Wijnia backed up with a remix from Vast Vision...
Firstly, two things you may not know about Peter Martijn Wijnia. The first is that he's another Dutch born gentlemen with a passion for trance music, ok you so you may know that one. The second is he had piano lessons for 9 years before getting into producing trance. Those skills should set him on course for blending together some tasty sounding melodies and indeed have with his previous releases like 'Morning Glory' (No dirty thoughts please) and 'Unusual'. Here he is then with a brand new and imminently forthcoming track on Liquid Recordings with the aid of fellow trance addicts Vast Vision. Think uplifting emotionally tinged trance with a bit of orchestral flavour and you’ve got Sacrifices down to a tee.
:: Original Mix :: Vast Vision Remix
There is something of a link between triple barrel named trance producers from Holland and quality trance records. The Original Mix is a nice blend of today’s uplifting trance sound and classic orchestra violin strings. Things start off steady enough with a soft edge on the main beat but builds up the layers quite nicely ones the track picks up. There is a nice sparkly bright key that repeats on the build up creating the mood. It’s the rear end atmospheric sweeps that create the real emotion you’ll find in here with the main break cutting to just those sweeps and the bright key. It’s right here in the middle where you get that classical feeling with an epic orchestral violin string and sweeping atmospherics. It fist in very well and those piano lessons have done Peter not harm I creating this one. A sythn driven melody feeds back into the trance sound after that slice of classic, keeping in line the tone but building up the beat with a drum roll and letting it explode. It took me another listen to really get this track but after a second opinion the fitment, sound and vibe it gives you all makes sense.
Vast Vision for me have been a bit on and off in recent production works. It’s been solid stuff, but nothing that makes you sit back itching to play it again. Maybe 'Summer Blush' was just to uplifting it made there other stuff seem a bit flat. That's just my opinion on them anyway but on with their remix here. Not a lot if different form the original in terms of overall structure but a remix for it never really ought to be. The main beat that keeps the mix kicking is deep and sticky with a scuffing symbol kick feeding off it. The uplifting orchestral build starts to some in early with harmonic deep sweeps making a huge impact. There is such a classic element to it here that works so well and creates an emotional atmosphere when the melody is building up. It breaks again for the second time swiftly after but with even more impact before the track starts to fade out the layers. I quite like this remix to be fair, probably the best Vast Vision work I’ve put through my ears for a while.
Conclusion:
For those of you who like that classical sound when things start to get serious within a trance record will eat this one alive all day long. Great work from Peter Martijn Wijnia, a name that requires a little squint to make sure its spelt right and a great remix to back it up from vast Vision.
