It's been a while since we had a new Ferry Corsten mix compilation but that is about to change with the release of 'Once Upon A Night'. A double disc compilation that is jammed with more exclusives than you can shake a stick at...
One of the biggest Dutch electronic artists to have been around the scene for the past 15 years and more is without a doubt Ferry Corsten. To some you may know him as System F as it was that aliases that carved him a reputation for being of the best trance producers on the planet. His experiment with the electro sound and success of tracks like 'Punk' and 'L.E.F' enhanced his reputation as being a global electronic creator not just restricted to coming up with quality trance. His weekly 'Corsten's Countdown' is one of the most popular dance shows around and his gig schedule could not get any fuller even if they invented another day on the week.
The news that he will be releasing a brand new compilation has come as a very welcome surprise. His compilations of days gone by have been some of the best continuous streams of music I've ever heard for sure. They always featured the best trance moulded material he could get his hands on but for this new compilation 'Once Upon A Night' just getting the latest tracks was not quite enough. What he's done is collect together no more than 25 exclusive records from some of the biggest artists on the scene for this compilation. You can look at the tracklist know and have an answer to why you have not heard any of the records on it, well, not unless you've been gigging it with Ferry over the past month or so.
The artist collection in there if of the finest calibre with JPL, Phynn, Cramp, Tritonal, DJ Eco, BT, Breakfast, Rafael Frost and Fred Baker putting their latest unreleased bomb's in there to explode. It's one to start rubbing you hands at the anticipation of but to get a sneak peak tune into 'Corsten's Countdown' on the 17th March for a bit of a sneak preview.
