© W&WThe very latest from the W&W guys as they prepare to play at Trance Energy, the event the guys met and started the W&W project a few years ago. News on their latest single and a video interview as they warm up for Trance's biggest event of the year...

If it were not for Trance Energy we may have never had the teaming of W&W otherwise known as Wardt van der Harst (Also behind Wardt) & Willem van Hanegem as they first met at a Trance Energy a few years ago. Since that meeting at Trance music biggest event of the year they have put their heads together to create some of the biggest anthems over the past year and will be playing at an event they have attended as clubbers for years. They have gone from being one of the faces in the crowd to the DJ’s pulsating quality electronic music into the crowd, a dream come true for any dance music fanatic as they sweat the night away to their favourite DJ.

Anyway on with the latest from the W&W headquarter for this month, with a nice video interview asking the guys a few essential questions about Trance Energy and audio footage of their latest single.

‘DNA’ & ‘Mainstage’ – Still On Fire!

W&W’s two latest floor-tyrannosaurs are still quickening the pulses and moving the feet out there in dancefloor-land. Since its release last month ‘DNA’ has charged up many of the download portals Hot 100 charts, spurred on no doubt by regular outings on the floors of Armin, Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz. ‘Mainstage’ meanwhile has made such a lasting impact that it has now (in its Radio Edit form) been playlisted on Holland’s biggest FM station, Radio 538. If you’ve yet to pick up this pair of badboys, why wait. You can get DNA & Mainstage from Beatport and all good digital download resellers now!

Gig Flashforward: Trance Energy 2010, Utrecht, Holland

Cometh the hour and so will cometh the men! Trance Energy is looming up on us like a great big, aircraft hanger-sized, flashing laser-ed gargantu-tron! Effectively the biggest convention of trance fans on the planet (this one at least), T.E. will blast off on the night sky of April 3rd. Romping past the winning post in the Trance.nu ‘vote-on’, W&W will be playing the Future Stage of the event. If you’ve not got your tickets yet, heh, the clock is ticking! Grab hold of some via the Trance Energy website here.

You can also see Willem & Wardt being interviewed by organisers ID&T in the run up to the event here!

W&W Gig Flashback: Trance Xplosion, Poznan, Poland

W&W have just returned from their first club gig in Poland. Having successfully rocked the Sunrise Festival last year (footage still well worth checking if you’ve not viewed it!), they’ve can now claim to have cut it at club level too. Not the order it’s usually done, but heh, who cares, right!? Trance Xplosion at the Ekwador Club in Poznan rocked to the sounds of W&W at the night which also saw Simon Patterson and Richard Durand do their thing. The lads would like to say a big ‘dzięki’ to all those Polkas and Polacks who came out to play and ‘do zobaczenia’ (see you soon!).

Mainstage on AH.FM

Willem & Wardt‘s Mainstage radio show has gone through a new decade revamp! Now coming at your fortnightly on the 2nd & 4th Monday, there’s now twice as much to look forward to every month!). The new format includes producer & DJ interviews, competitions and some hot, hot, HOT guest-mixes to look forward to! It’ll also be bringing you the intriguing Mainstage ID feature, where every month they’ll be playing a track so hot-damn fresh-off-the-desk, it can’t even be named. If you know your trance (and we’ve got no reason to suspect you don’t!) you might even be able to have a stab at guessing who’s behind it! You can catch it between 18.00 & 19.00 CET on AH.FM.

Forthcoming Gig Schedule:

13-02-2010: Trance Xplosion at Klub Ekwador, Poznan, Poland
20-03-2010: Colourz at Nouveau Riche, Boxmeer, Netherlands
26-03-2010: Off The Rails at The Plug, Sheffield, UK
03-04-2010: TRANCE ENERGY at Jaarbeurs, Utrecht, Netherlands
