© AnjunabeatsThe creator of some of the finest uplifting trance anthems over the past few years is about to launch his debut artist album on the Anjunabeats label who have put so much faith in his single releases. Prepare yourself for the 'Dreamcatcher'...

Ever since his introduction to the scene with his first release on Anjunabeats 'Northpole / Frozen Dreams' way back in 2006 the trance scene has been blessed with the musical talents of Nitrous Oxide. Otherwise known as Krzysztof Prętkiewicz, this Polish born electronic music fan was brought up on Depeche Mode, Jean Michel Jare and Mike Oldfield which influenced his direction towards dance music. Having enjoyed so much of other artists’ work it was back in the middle part of the last decade that Krzysztof decided to start producing his own tracks and became known under the name Nitrous Oxide. His smooth blend of driving beats and melodic bass lines fit in with the Anjunabeats philosophy perfectly and it has been that label owned by Above & beyond that have pushed his releases since his excellent debut that brought us 'North Pole' and 'Forzen Dreams'.

His past recordings speak for themselves with record like 'Aurora', 'Red Moon Flake', 'Magneta' and his collaboration work with Adam Nickey on the piano driven uplifting explosion that was 'Moon Dust'. The news that he will be releasing a debut artist album at the end of March should wet the audio appetite especially with the LP largely consisting of fresh new tracks. There are a few inclusions of his current work with a new edit for 'North Pole' that he has made especially for the album. There are two vocal productions that should come out nicely with male and female vocals catered for by Aneym (Who co-wrote the lyrics for the track 'Follow You' alongside Oceanlab's Justine Suissa) and Sean Ryan. They say its a blend of his current distinctive take on the trance genre with the inclusion of a little techier efforts to mix things up a little. I say it should be one of the best artist albums to see the light of day this year, you can hold me to that as I’m sure Nitrous Oxide will not disappoint.

The debut release takes on the name of 'Dreamcatcher', which is also a track on the album and will be hitting the stores at the end of March. I'm sure that some of the tracks from the debut LP are in the record boxes of quite a few major electronic artists so you may get a sneak preview before then if you keep your ears peeled.
