After the success of his debut artist album 'The New Daylight' melodic trance maestro Dash Berlin will be breaking his compilation duck with the release of 'United Destination 2010' on Armada...
Although we never reviewed it here on i:Vibes, for me one of the best albums on an artist scale from last year was Dash Berlin's 'The New Daylight'. His vocal delivery through a house edge trance production style is nothing short of sensational. He creates a deep emotional feel to his productions which is no better demonstrated by the superb 'Till The Sky Falls Down'. I'd say that’s the first track that got me interested to find out more about this very talented producer who is actually a trio of three; Eelke Kalberg, Jeffrey Sutorius & Sebastiaan Molijn. Split into the production partnership of Kalberg & Molijn who have been on the scene for well over ten years Dash Berlin is fronted by DJ Jeffrey Sutorius. It's another collective meeting of minds to create one of the best dance music projects in recent years that, if you didn't dig a bit deeper into would think just had the one man behind it. Dance music is a bit funny like that with hidden talents responsible for tracks you think were by done others.
The debut compilation from Dash Berlin should be just as special as the debut artist album as the selection of sounds to go in mirrors the Dash Berlin sound perfectly. The first disc by the looks of things takes thing on a soft melodictrip with the second rising up the temperature a little with some sure fire thumpers. It should be a timely reminded for any that have been witness to a Dash Berlin set that this excellent producer is just as impacting as a DJ.
Armada have put up a few cheeky previews for the album featuring snippets from a few of the tracks from them including the huge collaboration between Marcus Schössow & Andy Duguid.
