Whethere your scouring local record shop or searching intensely on the internet-if you see Lexicon Avenue appear, you come to expect quality deep progressive! and this lastest masterpiece doesn't fail!
A: Lexicon Avenue Dub B: Lexicon Avenue's Release The Crow Dub
A Side: This track starts out in the true colours of lexicon avenue-but on a slightly more funky edge. The bassline has the dramatic effects to it but is combined with nicely timed high-hats to give it a more catchy/funky feel. The addition of the deep synths at the quarter stage sets the mood nicely and give the track a slightly ambient touch.Li'sha hits on a little repetitive vocal which accompanies the mild timely bongo taps. The track rushes to the breakdown where the high hats keep the tempo in mind. It explodes back in to life with the usual sounds applying the pressure. The track comes to a close, but you leaves you saying "lexicon avenue havent failed again".
B Side: On the flip is a darker outlook to the remixes. It contrasts that of the a side-the bassline is still of the deepest nature but the synth is moody. Much weirder effects are applied and this track sounds more busier than the A side. The introduction of a more dominant moody synth makes the track chugg with a nice pace and feel. Li'sha changes the vocal slightly and an echoing effect is produced, to pull together the rolling effect. The main breakdown appears on the half way stage and the track steps up a new level into new life. A superb mix of the deep bassline and complex stabs create one of the greatest sounding tracks i have heard.
On the whole this is outstanding- after their last production "why r u here", i didnt think they could get any better-but this is a continuation from that. The B side is possibly one of the best produced tracks you are likely to come accross on the progressive scene-it has all the energy to it of that of a hard trance track. Who said progressive was boring? ...check this out.Nice one Lexicon Avenue!
