 Just before the end of the month drops in Willem & Wardt's monthly news update with a look back to their ASOT 450 appearance and a look forward to their trip down under with the Freefall tour. Plus news on their new mix compilation...
They may be known to their close family as Willem and Wardt but to those in the dance community they are better known as W&W. They have been pushing on this year in a drive to establish themselves as one of the best new faces on the trance circuit, which they are well on the way to doing. They played at Trance Energy this year, the festival the two guys first met and came up with the idea to join together to produce some inspiring music, two heads are better than one they always say. Over the course of this summer they will be jetting all over the globe, air travel permitting of course, to play in Australia, Italy, Poland and South Korea. They also have a forthcoming new mix compilation out with their 'Tranceworld' compilation that will be the tenth in Armada's ever popular series.
Tranceworld 10 - Mixed by W&W
Willem & Wardt break their collective compilation cherry next month with the release of their Trance World album. Coming through Armada Music, the 10th in the rapidly expanding, boundlessly-popular series sees W&W seeking, finding and mixing the most molten hot (yes, we know, volcano reference, so last week - yawn, etc!) trance out there. Names (you cry!). We hear you! (we reply). Try: Aly & Fila, Leon Bolier & Sied Van Riel, Orjan Nilsen, M6, Ben Gold, Jonas Stenberg & Ruben De Ronde and some super-xtra-hot (what comes after ‘molten’ again?) exclusives from Ben Gold & Lee Osbourne and Jan Oostdyk vs. Ron Van Den Beuken. W&W Mega-Flashback! Trance Energy & A State of Trance 450
In terms of flashbacks, they probably don’t get a whole lot bigger & better. You could probably forgive Willem and Wardt for wanting to live the first week of April Groundhog style for, oooh, at least the next 10 years. Not only did they leave Trance.nu’s Future Stage a in a state of high-phoria at Trance Energy (bear witness to that dance floor fitness here!), but they also stone-cold smashed ASOT450. Yep, still on fire after TE they smoked a white hot trail of lava all the way to (wait for it!) Bratislava. They want to say ‘big thanks’ to Armin for inviting them and in turn invite you to check out the after-show video here. For those of you that want the live set of their performance, Google is your friend! Do not fear him/her/it (delete as appropriate).
W&W Flashforward: Korea, Australia... & Beyond!
Alright, there isn’t really a “beyond”, but there is mighty fine looking Korea and Australia tour on the horizon for W&W and if anything will free them from the aforementioned Trance Energy / A State Of Trance / Trance Energy / A State Of Trance / Trance Energy / A State Of Trance wormhole than that will! They’ll be playing the Freefall Tour in Australia (their first appearance there as W&W) spinning in Brisbane, Taree and Melbourne on the 14th, 15th and 21st of May respectively and then on the 29th they’ll play the equally equatorial Club Volume in Seoul.
If you’re around those map-points… come git some!
Mainstage on AH.FM
Willem & Wardt‘s Mainstage radio show has gone through a new decade revamp! Now coming at your fortnightly on the 2nd & 4th Monday, there’s now twice as much to look forward to every month!). The new format will include some great competitions and also bring you the intriguing Mainstage ID feature, where every month they’ll be playing a track so hot-damn fresh-off-the-desk, it can’t even be named. If you know your trance (and we’ve got no reason to suspect you don’t!) you might even be able to have a stab at guessing who’s behind it!
