© Roger Shah Having just returned from the States its time for Roger Shah's monthly update with every new in the word of Balearic dance music. The new Sunlounger is on it’s was as is Magic Island number 3...

When the sun is shining there may be no better audio backdrop than Roger Shah's smooth Balearic beats for company. His unique style and sound has driven him forward to high new heights over the past few years and will drive him onto even further ones in years to come. He's been over in the United States and Canada touring some of the biggest clubs the two countries have to offer during his recent tour. He made it home safe and sound with no volcano in sight and has some juicy news in his April update with the new Sunlounger track on its way as is the third instalment of his compilation series, Magic Island.

Coast To Coast: Roger Rocks The US of A!

7 cities visited, 7 of their very biggest clubs duly smashed; Roger has just returned from his block-rock, tour of the US & Canada. First stop was a West Coast touch-down to play Arena in LA, he then hopped over to Denver to spin The Church, before heading up northwards, to Toronto & Vancouver to whip things up at Guvernment & Gorgomish. After a couple of days R&R he shot over to Sin City central, Las Vegas to play Perfecto’s night at Rain @ The Palms. Then on the 1st weekend in April, it was the big finisher: ASOT450 at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC and Vision in Chicago. At the former he dropped in to Armin’s makeshift studio and did a pretty substantial (considering ever!) radio/video interview with Mr ASOT, himself. You can check it out by clicking right here.

New High Noon At Salinas For Magic Island

Hot out of the Magic Island Records stable this month is Roger’s latest postcard-perfect High Noon At Salinas offering. Alongside co-producer Kryst (better known perhaps as Dennis Nygren), the pair have laid down another beatific, seaside atmosphere inducer with ‘Virgin Kyle Beach’. Angel Ace flip the track’s polarity and give the tempo a healthy nudge in the upwards direction to deliver a hyper-infectious (not to say uplifting!) trance treasure. What Was Once ‘Lost’ Is Now ‘Found’

Back in 2008 Roger pulled of once of the coups of the year when his Sunlounger track ‘Lost’ became the No1 trance track of the year on the No.1 trance radio show. Featuring the vocals of then newly discovered talent Zara Taylor, its ASOT success naturally made it prime for a follow up. Or maybe that should be sequel... Roger and Zara will soon be back with ‘Found’. The track will feature on his new Magic Island Vol: 3 (as will his Signum follow up ‘Ancient World’) and both tracks will be making fast approaches as singles too.
