Marco V is not the kind of artist you can put in a pigeonhole, if you did he would find a way to escape without a doubt. Although you may have trouble slotting his sounds into one particular genre you won’t have any enjoy them. His last artist album, which came in two parts, 'Propaganda' may not have been one we reviewed here on i:Vibes but its one we rate very highly. He's not resting on the success of that album though and will be unleashing some new material over the summer, some of which follows the 'V' concept that brought classics in the past like 'Stimulated' and 'Indicator'. We have news of that in his latest update as well as footage from his recent outing down under for Creamfields.

Marco V - Return Of The V-Sound

Collectively the EPs delivered classics like ‘Stimulated’ & ‘Indicator’, cumulatively sold over 25,000 copies and became the prototype for a whole sub-genre. Now, 9 years after Pt. 3 arrived on record racks and conclusively lit the touch-paper of tech-trance, Marco V is revisiting his classic scene-setting V-Sound with Phase 4 of the V.ision series. Featuring the funky, riding techno rhythms of ‘Greed’ and the floor-decimating ‘Indicator’-like ‘Greyhound’, the EP is at this very moment reacquainting clubs around the world with V-Sound. In Charge, In May…And On Fire!

Marco’s label continues to send out the best kind of sound-shockwaves this month with a pair of super-heated speaker-beaters. May 24th will see the release ‘Spamarrest’ - his new production ‘collaboration’ with alter-ego MoHawk. It’s a meeting of two halves of one musical brain resulting in high-tension synths, dark, erupting beats and atmospheric horns that reach into ever club crevice. Following hot-foot from that on May 31st will be the latest from dark trance-techno don, Dave Schiemann’s with ‘Elements’. Creamfields Australia

He went, he spun and he conquered… With Marco headlining the Cream Arena, Australia got their first ever taste of Creamfields this month and they seemed to rather like it. The UK festival powerhouse made their debut down-under at the start of May with Marco playing Sydney, Perth, Brisbane & Melbourne. Oz online institution In The Mix.com caught Marco just before he jumped on the plane and interviewed him about the tour and all his current happenings. The Gallery Interview

It has been interviews pretty much all the way over the last 31 days… Having done what he came to do at The Gallery, Ministry of Sound last month, Virtual Music Magazine sat Marco down for a natter. They covered everything from ‘Propaganda’ to In Charge and his musical influences to Ibiza. Find out if those last two were one and the same here!

Incoming US & Canada Dates

Marco will be touching down in the States towards the end of this month for three gigs. First up on the night of the 21st it’ll be the legend that is Ruby Skye for some suitably messy San-Fran-based floor-action. The following night and it’ll be Fusion Dreams at the PNE Coliseum in downtown Vancouver. In advance of that gig heavyweight US nightlife portal ClubZone dropped Mr V a line for a quick Q&A on what Vancouvians can expect there – you can check the results of that e-encounter here! Tying thing off it’ll be over to the city of sin, Las Vegas on the 23rd for the enticing sounding Wet Republic Ultra Pool @ the MGM Grand. If you’re lucky enough to be in any of those cities on the night that’s right, get yourself down there!

A New Nation Gets That Sensation!

Marco is back spinning at Sensation this month. Having previously played in 8 different countries for the event goliath, this time it’s the turn of Prague to feel the power. On the night May 29th he’ll be bringing some V.Sound to the 02 Arena in the capital of the Czech Republic – you can get all the details via their website.
