 One of the rising talents from the Netherlands Sied Van Riel drops in with his latest update for June. He's a jam packed schedule for this summer with Amnesia, Ministry of Sound and Zurich on his tour list. Not just that, he's been getting chummy with Carlo Resoort...
He's ready for summer that’s for sure is one Sied van Riel. His DJ dates are all over the globe over the next few months as is his own fan base he's been building up over the past five years. A fan base he expanded with his super 'In Riel Time' compilation last year which will not be the last from this super talented Dutchman that’s for sure. He's been on the remix this month and his new single forthcoming on Spinnin in collaboration with Mr 4 Strings Carlo Resoort.
A is For Amnesia, Z Is For Zurich - Sied's A to Z Of Summer!
Wherever you are this summer, chances are you’re going to be within reasonably easy reach of a Sied van Riel ‘Dexperience’! Alongside Ferry Corsten, he’ll be keeping the Dutch DJ quota up at Cream Ibiza this summer. On a personal mission to rip the roof back off Amnesia (taking it back to its classic pre-93 architectural configuration!), he’ll be there for several main-room sessions dotted throughout the summer calendar! There is also the not inconsiderable matter of the official Street Parade Afterparty and a line-up that is T.D.F.: Tiesto, Guetta, Tocadisco, DJ Antoine, Van Riel… and Vats it! If that sounds good you’ll want to make sure that you’re in and around Zurich on the 10th of August. Aside from that there’s Slovakia & Sheffield, Tunisia & Turkey and the Ministry and Melbourne to look forward to – all before summer’s ‘ends. People… get ready!
Sied Collaborates!
Having made quite an impact of the last 18 months, Carlo Resoort’s Radion 6 pseudonym has regularly been catching the ears of many, and that includes Mr V. Riel’s. Spinnin’, their label in common, sat the two down in a room filled with computers and sound boxes with blinking lights and they emerged a week or do later with ‘Radiator’. So named because they both took it in turns to sit next to one while they were making it (* please note this might not be true), ‘Radiator’ has already started to increase the heat on dancefloors. “What a megabomb!” were Armin’s exact words when he first heard it and Sander van Doorn has also given it two big thumbs up. It’s out through Spinnin’ next month, but that’s not the only collaborative team-up Sied has on the go at the moment either! It is early days and we rielly can’t say too much about it, but… oh, alright, go on then… Two words: ‘Ummet’ & ‘Ozcan’. You heard it here first!
Sied Remixes!
There are a fair few Van Riel remixes currently in, or about to hit circulation. First off the bat (and straight out of the park) is his floor-quaking re-shape Dutch duo W&W’s ‘Manhattan’, which is released this month on Armada’s Captivating Sounds. You can get a listen to that here. Also set to do due damage will be his remix/make of Dash Berlin and DJ Remy’s forthcomer ‘Renegade’, which we heard a quick clip of and it sounded mighty tasty!
Gig-erty, Gig-erty, Re-Re-Rewind!
Throughout the late winter and spring Sied has been continuing his global dream mission to rock the very biggest events in existence the very hardest way imaginable. Along the way hours of video have been shot of eye-popping, club-exploding, behind-the-curtain-peeking action has been shot. The very best of that eye-popping, club-exploding, behind (oh, you get the idea!) material has been edited together rapido-fire style.
