What’s Cliff Coenraad got cooking this month then? First off he's been given the honour of writing the theme for this year’s massive 'Sunrise' festival in Poland and that’s just the start...
Don’t worry; Cliff Coenraad is not as mad as he looks in our article picture. Even if he were, we would let me him off as he produces some astounding music. It’s a month for first for Cliff this June. First off he has been selected to produce the theme for this summer’s Sunrise festival, one of Poland’s biggest dance festivals of the year, and he has done just that with a track called ‘Massive’. Quite fitting name for what will be a festival you can use the same to describe! The second point of note for this month is he will be making his first ever appearance at the Gallery down at the Ministry of Sound, London. It’s the first time he has ever played in London to and why not break your capital duck by playing at the capital’s biggest night club. There is plenty more in this month’s update, including a claim his radio show may have the answer to the key of life. You may question that statement but you won’t the quality of the music on his show this month, it knocks ten bells out of a Sunday sermon for sure. Check it out below.
Cliff Delivers Sunrise’s ‘Massive’ Festival Anthem
No longer the new boy on the summer festival circuit, Sunrise is now every inch the heavy-hitting international event. On the 23rd of July, in the beautiful seaside surround of Kolobrzeg in Poland, it will once again prove its mettle when it fields an all-star DJ line-up - one that’ll include Markus Schulz, Joris Voorn, Gareth Emery, Dirty South & Funkagenda. Every festival needs an anthem and Sunrise's official one for 2010 will come in the form of ‘Massive’, created, recorded, tweaked, torqued and yes, P.I.M.P.d by our own Mr Coenraad! The single itself is out on the 5th of July, but you know we wouldn’t make you wait that long. You can find out just how massive ‘Massive’ really is by double-clicking here and checking the preview on You Tube. The event itself will naturally also be resolutely rocked hard by Cliff – he very much hopes to see you there (preferably right down the front, going proper ‘balistique’)! Sunrise website here.

Fresh Outta Da Bakery
Cliff musical bakery has been working all hours to get those hot, fresh tunes delivered… ride on time. His Repimp of Wezz Devall’s ‘Free My Willy’ (an artist and title that could surely keep a clinical psychologist up nights) has just been released through Armada’s Captivating Sounds division and has been putting the supanova push on many a May dancefloor.
Cliff has also delivered two of his own tracks that have just been turned loose by High Contrast to rampage across dancefloors at will. In terms of your typical bakery ‘fare’, well ‘Obsession For More’ is your classic Rocky Road slice – tough on the outside with some nice hidden nutty bits packed in around the middle section. ‘Ticked Off By Default’ on the other hand is more like a Cornish Cream Horn. Tubular, perfectly sculpted with a delicious mesmerizing whipped-up middle! More bakery-themed musical metaphors next issue!
:: 'Obsession For More' is available through the i:Vibes store right now!
It’s Bootyshakin' Time – The Kiev To London CC Bounce-a-teria!
Cliff will be way out Ukraine way to play the 10 Years Of VANDIT party at QievDance IEC with PvD and Mark ‘Sherry’ Sherry on the 12th of June. Onwards from there he’ll be hitting London (or Londinium if you’re still living in pre-Roman times – no specific reason to think you are, but we aim to cover all eventualities here at the CC news-bolt!). He’ll be making his capital debut at, really, the very best place to make your debut in London… the Ministry of Sound. The legendary Gallery is the night and he’ll be bowling up there with Jonas Stenberg and fellow Dutchmen Marcel Woods & Wippenberg to cold rock a party… 9th of July is the date and on the night Cliff will be aiming to conclusively prove that with the Coenraad Love Machine, you do get… more bounce to the ounce! Nice.
