© Paul van DykThe Gatecrasher name will be back compilation style this month. Ok, it may be another classics compilation but this time Paul van Dyk's chipping in to mix it...

I think we would all like a brand new Gatecrasher compilation like they used to do in years gone by before they set about milking the cash cow with one classic, anthem or best off after the other. It's not really a surprise then that the new compilation to bear the famous symbol this month will be another classic collection of tracks. However, for this one they have turned to one of the most iconic names in electronic dance music to mix together the new three disc box set. Paul's connections with Gatecrasher span years back to his days where he put trance music on the map with epic sets for the brand at their old Gatecrasher One venue in the former steel mining city of Sheffield. For many trance is what we all know most of Paul van Dyk but his sound today is anything but that restrictive, that said, it has always been without restriction.

The good thing about the new album with it being mixed by Paul is it's sure to chuck up some classic gems that don’t usually pop up on the eight or so other classic compilations they release during the year.

‘Gatecrasher established a worldwide brand that's been respected and valued for over a decade now, and I'm honoured to present 'Gatecrasher Anthems’. Paul van Dyk, 2010.

Following the success of the Gold selling smash hit Gatecrasher Trance Anthems 1993-2009 and the enormous follow up hit Gatecrasher Club Anthems 1993-2009 comes Gatecrasher Anthems- Paul van Dyk, an epic collaboration between the 2 biggest trail blazers in Trance, the mighty Gatecrasher lion itself and one of its favourite sons, Superstar DJ Paul van Dyk.

Peppered with some of the biggest classics ever produced, Gatecrasher Anthems- Paul van Dyk takes the clubber back to the halcyon days of the Trance revolution with tracks from Moby, Underworld, Robert Miles, Café Del Mar, Planet Perfecto, Matt Darey and Motorcycle… back to a time where Gatecrasher ruled club-land with the most euphoric nights on the planet, when van Dyk feted for his 6hr sets, and was enthroned as the world’s no. 1 DJ.

The Gatecrasher partnership with van Dyk started back in 1998 when Paul began his residency at Gatecrasher’s Sheffield club. Van Dyk’s triumphant 6 hrs sets are now immortalised in clubbing history culminating in the never-to- be- forgotten "2000GC" Millennium Eve event at the Don Valley Stadium. Paul has since been a regular at Gatecrasher’s infamous trance nights throughout the world. The CD is a reflection of this unique and inspiring relationship.

Set over three storming CDs, Gatecrasher Anthems- Paul van Dyk is mixed and compiled exclusively by the man himself to create a seminal mix that unmistakeably weaves van Dyk’s musical mastery throughout each and every twist and turn, creating a hypnotic, exuberant, mind blowing journey though some of Trance’s biggest classics and brightest Future stars.

Celebrating both the Future and Present, van Dyk seamlessly mixes future classics from the likes of Filo & Peri, Giuseppe Ottaviani and Reverse, with current anthems from the dancefloor from Faithless, Deadmau5, Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten together with monstrous epic Classics from Agnelli & Nelson, Planet Perfecto, Delirium, BT, Nalin & Kane, and many more.

Celebrating 10 Years of Paul van Dyk’s now legendary VANDIT Records, van Dyk also unleashes a scorching selection of upfront tracks from the label, featuring some of the genres most talented and most promising producers.

‘When it comes to Electronic Music in the UK, Gatecrasher has always been the leading figure in club land and dance culture. In addition to being the home of some of the biggest names in dance music, they've always been a source of up and coming talent. They've provided the soundtrack to so many people's lives, and myself, and my label VANDIT Records are proud to be a part of Gatecrasher - past, present, and future!’
