 Junkie XL aka Tom Holkenborg has just completed a top tune for the typically swish swash Nike Football Commercial, as well as announcing releases of his upcoming 12" and an album and also co-producing tracks with Sasha for his upcoming album.
Junkie XL has hit the scene since the mid-late 1990s with a string of techno driven tracks which came with their album "Saturday Teenage Kick", and more recently, did the track "Obsession" with DJ Tiesto for his album "In My Memory".
If you have seen those fancy Nike commercials on TV for Football, bringing in the best football stars in the world, you'd know that they're pretty damn funky. Not funky enough I guess, as Nike have decided to enlist Tom Holkenborg to do a track for the commercial in conjunction with a superstar musician who has yet to be disclosed. Check your TV boxes in the near future to get a glimpse of this surely quality tune.
Also on the mainstream entertainment front, Junkie XL also produced a track for the upcoming Resident Evil movie, which features Tom's tracks in several scenes in the movie, with a release date for the OST set just this today (March 15th), and should hit your stores pretty soon.
In terms of the Junkie XL album which is set to come out during September 2002 with 11 tracks to be released on the album, this is bound to satisfy those die hard Junkie XL fans, of the Zerotonines and Dance Valley 2000 Themes alike.
To start this album fest off, Junkie XL will release a single yet to be decided in July on 12" so keep an eye out for that.
Last but not least, just to remid you all, Junkie XL & Sasha's production will be featured on the long awaited Sasha Album release! That should be an interesting one to listen for!
