W&W July Update

With the summer now in full swing and the Ibiza season very much under way things are look very sweet for W&W. The pair behind the alias Wardt van der Harst & Willem van Hanegem have a very busy few months ahead of them and some exciting news to tell us about this month having signed up to Armada's bookings agency which should see the pair popping up at some of the biggest dates over the next few months. The first of which will be an Armada run night at Amnesia in Ibiza as they join Armin van Buuren for their first taste of the island this upcoming Tuesday. Of course, they have some news on their latest productions, one being ‘Manhattan’ that is worth turning your attention to as it’s a great track.

W&W Get Amnesia!

No, not the bang your head very, very hard - can’t-remember-stuff variety, but the good one where you find yourself 40ft up in the air, spinning in one of the most famous DJ booths in the world. Yes indeed, next Tuesday night Willem and Wardt hit Ibiza to play ASOT @ Amnesia (and indeed the island) for the first time. Armin van Buuren will be in residence so they’ll be in highly esteemed company. If you happen to be reading this and are about to step on a jet bound for the White Isle, ask yourself... is there really anywhere else I should be come next Tuesday night? Thought not…!

W&W Take On The A(rmada) - Team

On the 1st of July Wardt and Willem will be joining the ranks of the newly-formed Armada Bookings Agency. Set up to look after the deck-side interests of some of the scene’s brightest go-getting, disc-spinning young guns, it means you should be seeing plenty more of the two Ws over the coming months. So if you’re a promoter, and you want to book W&W, but no one else can help, and if you can find them*, maybe you can hire them (from the Armada Bookings Team!).

W&W - Manhattan – Out Now

In the hands of a select number of spinners W&W’s latest club-crisper has been exporting its thundering heart-of-NYC vibe far and wide of late. ‘Manhattan’ transferred to the download stores mid way through June and wasted no time at all racing into the top 10s of Beatport, Audiojelly and Trackitdown’s charts. Judge Jules has given it the thumbs up (twice - so that's both thumbs!) on his Radio 1 show and you can get a hold of it from one of the digital download sellers above with just a few flexing clicks of you finger! Do it and your mp3 collection will be one anthem heavier!

'The Beauty Of Silence' (W&W & Jonas Stenberg Remix)

Yeah, yeah – we get the irony! Beauty of Silence, and its one of the most rip-snorting synth-chucking, hard-trance floor-gobblers of all time!

Anyway messers W, W & Stenberg have plucked it from the Svenson & Gielen back-cat and given it a 2010-flavoured scrub-up. DJ Magazine gave it 7.5/10 and said that "W&W & Stenberg had remixed their second hard-trance classic in as many months... very effectively indeed”. It’s out now and you can listen to it here!

Still out there and doing by all accounts a roaring CD/DD trade, W&W’s first compilation album is itching to take its place in your music collection!

Featuring floor-zapping speaker-gymnastics from Aly & Fila, Leon Bolier & Sied Van Riel, Orjan Nilsen, M6, Ben Gold, Ruben De Ronde, that man Jonas Stenberg and others, it’s the compilation debut they’re all talking about! You can lay your hands on it through the Armada website!

Mainstage on AH.FM

Willem & Wardt‘s Mainstage radio show is now coming at your fortnightly on the 2nd & 4th Monday, so there’s now twice as much to look forward to every month!).
